I haven’t been on the forums for very long but the fact that this post has been at the top everyday is horrible. It’s terribly written and attempts to speak for everyone in a poorly researched way. Can this die already?
Maybe they could have a spartan ability program like Reach did. That way you can choose your ability depending on how you want to play.

How is that trolling. Bad players are generally less knowledgable about high-level play and how mechanics such as sprint affect (and break) the game. It’s not a personal attack. I don’t give a rip about how good or bad you are at the game. But if you are bad, don’t try to act like you know the nuances of the game and details on how certain mechanics impact the game, or that you even claim to know what’s best for the game and future of (competitive) Halo. Just admit that you’re ignorant instead of embarrassing yourself on a forum (like this kid has if you actually look at his posts).

It doesn’t have anything to do with their opinion, it’s how much of an impact that opinion can/should have. It’s like asking my girlfriend, who has played maybe 40 hour a of Halo, instead of me if sprint is good for the game.

I was around then. Never heard it. There was a lot of talk about adapting… not so much “here to stay” rhetoric, as I recall.

SR41? You’re seriously comparing the ranking that can only go up by playing more and more? Your k/d is barely above 1.0. I gave Halo 5 a fair chance and got to play at onyx level in 3 game types. I’ve played halo 3 10k games and wanna know the funny thing? I’m better than you in this Halo 5 you think your rocking in Gold rank 2 smh
EDIT. Holy moly, Halo 4 k/d bellow 1.0? Are you kidding me, halo 4 was such a casual and easy game. You’re comparing exp vs ranking = time vs skill. But remember, I did give Halo 5 a fair chance and not dropping it after 10 games.

I don’t think sprint was the problem in the first place. Halo reach had sprint, but only as an armor ability. It makes sense to have sprinting in Halo 4 and 5 because its a natural thing us humans can do. The real problem is the fact that they removed armor abilities altogether. I loved the jet pack. Great for getting around places. I also loved the bubble too. Bringing back armor abilities would make Halo Halo again. Not the removal of sprint.

I also would like to have armor abilities back as well, but for noncompetitive playlists like WZ or FF or maybe even infection which would sound awesome IMO

Armor abilities started this whole thing that lead eventually to having permanent sprint. People complained so much about them back then. Having sprint because it’s a natural thing humans can do. Maybe in Halo 6 we should be able to do back flips, kick people and even better, have a cup of tea because I like my halo to feel like a Sims simulator. If we can do it, so should Spartans be able to do it. Forget the gameplay and what has worked.

Attacking someone with a lower K/D is pretty low since not everyone is a sweaty tryhard and a majority of people just don’t give a -Yoink- about that.

I swear it’s like you people come off an assembly line. Do you not know how to read, or chose not to?
The realism/immersion argument holds know water. Why can’t Chief shoot and move at the same time? He’s a super-soldier for cryin’ out loud!
Also, why can’t he make a sandwich? Take a dump? Do cartwheels? Write a rap song?
Also, take racing games. Why can’t you get out of your car? That’s realistic. I can get out of my car when I drive in real life. Why not in the game?
I can go on and on. See how dumb that argument sounds now?
Also, armor abilities? Make Halo, Halo? What is this I don’t even… I’m not even gonna dignify that one.
