And “not having sprint” is not the lack of a feature, it’s the addition of another ability: Namely being able to run and shoot at the same time!
What’s the point of being a super soldier if you can’t run and gun?
Seriously, though… It’s still baffling to me how people can look at a mechanic that takes away the ability to shoot from the player and call it an improvement…

what i meant by abilities is bubble shield, active camo ,jet pack, hard light shield etc.

It’s not that baffling. Most of these abilities are defensive. They more appeal to people who aren’t that good at the game because allows them to rely on their defesnive capabilities to not die rather than their offensive capabilities. No longer are you forced/encouraged to be offensive. Did you encounter someone who’s better than you? Don’t worry, now you don’t need to win that fight, you just need to not lose and that’s what these abilities allow you to do just that! You can even get free shots at people when they’re in the middle of using these abilities because they can’t shoot back while using them. You can’t fault people for liking the abilities because they help them do better in a game where they would perform worse without those abilities.

HCS makes everyone here sound stupid. Pros use sprint properly and its balanced. High level play is much different. Being onyx i can tell from experince. If you sprint in the wrong place you are melted end of story. No matter how much you say sprint is bad. Its just another tool to use and not bad if anything helpful. Same with thrust. Was not needed but helpful. A tool. Spartan use tools no matter what it is. And they use it to win no matter what. The only yhing thats bad about arena is the spawns. Spawn time should be longer and spawns showuld always have your back to the wall not out in the open

Keyword “all” directions. With sprint you can only move forwards. If you try to move left, right, backwards, you either drop out of the animist ion or it forces you to turn that direction with sprint on.

Are you insinuating that lowering your weapon in the middle of combat is a tool that helps you win? Because Spartans are already known to sprint at higher velocities than those shown in the games while still retaining the ability to shoot. So what advantage does lowering their gun while moving at half speed provide?

What for? What does lowering the weapon provide that moving at high BMS doesn’t? If you want to go fast, you still can and shoot at the same time.

theres probably other factors to why dooms sales are big but sprint is needed in halo
here’s a way to solve this argument have armor abilities in the game like reach where you can have sprint or jet pack or some thing
also have there be a thing in custom games where you can switch armor abilities on and off and for arena games have there be two playlist one with sprint and one without this way both sides of the argument are happy and we all can go back to playing halo
