This again?.. Please stop complaining about Sprint.

Why? If people don’t voice their concerns for things they don’t like, then it’s safe to assume that 343 will think they like it.

If sprint were removed then life would suck

THANK YOU!!!

I wouldn’t say such but more like no sense after having 3 Halo games with sprint.

We had 4 Halo games without it before it got shoehorned into the gameplay, so I don’t see your point.

I mean we are use to sprint in Halo now and taking it out would be weird.

I think the reason most of you are upset about sprint is because you can’t snipe slow moving targets anymore or maybe the game moves too fast for you. But seriously sprint is here to stay and I honestly don’t know why you guys hate it so much. Seriously explain it to me someone.

I want to see if you’re still singing that tune after being forced to play Quake against professionals.

It has nothing to do with wanting easy to hit targets. Many of the anti-sprint people are even asking for lowered aim assist in addition to the removal of sprint. Sprint is also only slightly faster than base speed anyways and limited to a single direction so it’s not exactly like sprinting targets are even hard to hit to begin with either.

U mad bruh?

Sprint in halo isnt good for halo in any way what so ever and yeah,it would make sense if a super soldier can sprint but adding/keeping sprint into halo breaks halos special and traditional gameplay. One thing that made halo special during halo 1 thru halo 3 odst was the lack of sprint, and as crazy as it may seem, its true.Halo’s lack of sprint made its gameplay more unique and special to many people but now that halo has sprint and these spartan abilities,it makes halo no different than any other shooting game cod to be specific. If 343 removes sprint or atleast make it an option in campaign and match making it would bring back many halo fans who left after the including of sprint. Not everyone will agree with what i have to say and may think “it wouldnt make sense if a modified human with super human stength not able to sprint”,but keep in mind that halo isnt a reality simulator its freakin Halo so not everything needs to make sense people!!

Creates a better movement sysrem in the game ex. running and jumping across a gap otherwise not possible to make

Just curious, why is that example beneficial to the gameplay?

It doesn’t matter if sprint makes sense or not from an external perspective, what matters is the effect is has on game play. I agree, Spartans can run, hell they do so in the books, but that doesn’t mean it’s an acceptable mechanic within the game. These things are inherently different from one another. Halo’s original formula works, in fact it worked so well it contributed to building THE first person shooter. The beauty of the first 3 games is that the formula was recognised and respected. The games each evolved, each added fresh new things, but never was the formula broken. Many of you have played since CE, or at least H2, so I ask, did any of you, ever, say to yourselves during the progression of those games “hey, this just feels stale and just like everything else I’ve ever played”? The answer is of course NO. None of you said that because despite the formula remaining the same, the game still innovated, still gave you that rush, and all the while playing as nothing had played before it.

I don’t want to make a long post, as I know many will just skim or skip over it, but really a valid counter argument can only be said in so few words. Sprint changed the formula of Halo, if fact, in it’s first 2 additions, is downright destroyed the formula. Halo 5’s sprint is the best effort so far, to include a mechanic which has such a profound impact on the formula. Look however at how that was achieved. The game is designed around it. It’s not just a simple movement mechanic, it defines the map design, how and where combat occurs. To many of you that might sound fine, but it does little to actually evolve Halo. Games like that already exits, where you have a defined break between combat and movement. All we’ve achieved is so actually narrow our choice, as now that ‘plays like nothing else formula’ has been reduced to a variant of the generic shooter.

I personally like sprint, it allows for better use of cover and strategies.

Sometimes, I get a headache reading these replies. The amount of sheer unintelligent replies on this thread, it makes me wish that not everyone is allowed to post. You can just tell by most of these replies the posters are below the age of 13.

Yeah I seen a lot of them posting like there below 13 saying about keeping sprint or not.
