I’m keen to see the success that a No sprint, No Spartan charge Halo could deliver.
Halo has it’s own feel, and we all crave that. I think that the underperforming sales, and low online population longevity are directly linked to Halo not delivering on THAT feel anymore.
I enjoy Halo 5, and still play it near daily, but even those who are supporters of Halo 5’s mechanics, almost all have their favourite Halo back in the classic titles. 343 has done the best job possible to incorporate sprint into Halo with 5, but sprint still defines the game play, map design, encounters, etc in a way that just isn’t Halo. I commend their effort in this respect, but the truth is, we’ve tried it now, over 3 titles, and none of them delivered that genre defining thrill that came with the classic titles.
Sprint is now the norm, and the act of removing it would represent the fresh new thing. So for all of you who say that the Non sprint supporters can’t accept something new, isn’t really you who are afraid to try something different again?
I agree, but i dont agree. the Pro is that halo will be more unique from other games, and be its originial version, which some people like.
The con is that most of the games gamemodes are suppost to be fast pasted. and walking in a fast paced game seems… well hard to do.

How am I ‘struggling’ as you say?? I’m just playing the game and enjoying it, doesnt feel like i am struggling… I’m not some try hard crybaby that is afraid to hand a friend my controller and play whatever mode they want with no Halo experience whatsoever… If you are one of those people, i feel bad for you. I grew up on Atari and NES and could care less about my rank, especially when it gets reset every month… Grow up, childish try hard

Don’t get me wrong I play Halo 5 but it certainly will never, ever in my opinion, come close to Halo 3 and that Halo feel. Everytime I play MCC, which is a lot, I just think to myself when the game starts “here we go. This feels like Halo.”

I really want to keep the Sprint.
Personally, I’d take it out. But i do understand that some people like it. So perhaps we could have 2 playlists Arena where it has sprint, smart scope, spartan abilities. But then a new playlist called Legacy, or Legendary where it plays just like the old halos. No sprint, no smart scope, no spartan abilities.
Why not Replace sprinting with faster base movement speed.
