> Lol think it all you want, I see no possible way how ground pound or shoulder charge is beneficial. The only ability that can give you an advantage is clambor, and even then you can get shot at while using it while not having the ability to fire back. Please, indulge me as to how they’re beneficial? Wanna ground pound? I’m very good at dodging that and shooting you while you’re in the air, shoulder charge? More often than not I can also dodge that and if I don’t I melee the guy and even the ground to where a headshot from either of us does it. Clambor is a 50/50 thing to me, if you’re one of those guys who goes for power spots then it can help but you’re also easy prey when I see someone clambor up for the fuel rod on truth. That’s why I don’t see them beneficial. I’m also a positive player who maybe has 150 total ability kills since the games been out and I’m SR 112. You may see them as handicaps if one doesn’t use them, but I don’t. The only one I fully support as beneficial is thrusters.

thruster is a get out jail free card in almost any scenario…in a sickening troll ability that has no place in this game
sprinting sprinting can get you around the small maps so fast especially in conjunction with thrust and slide…it makes the escapism mentality in halo 5 that much easier
spartan charge can only be done at full sprint speed which you achieve quite quickly so even if you getting shot its not going to slow you down…you will lunge a ridiculous distance and do more damage than a traditional melee…and it has a ridulous hit box…your delusional if you think spartan charge misses more then it connects
clamber is such a brief animation that if your at a big disadvantage because of it then its 100 percent your fault…clamber helps you maneuver the maps to get to higher ground, flank, make jumps you shouldnt be able to make esecially in conjunction with thrust
slide is fine by itself but does serve to make thruster pack more cheap
stabalize also signifigantly helps with jumps and lets you shoot people you shouldnt be able to shoot
ground pound while yes does put you at a disadvantage overall…it can serve as a cheap way to kill someone or because of the splash damage take their shields down

Sprint should stay in the game most people. Nowadays like the fast pace.

Most of these technicalities you talk about, I don’t notice them because I’m quickly adapting to whatever game it is I’m playing. Whether I’m playing Halo 1-3 Reach ODST or 5 (not even going to count 4 because anyone could have adapted to it), I just jump into it and do a little practice with my cousin or a friend to get used to it, (really just a 1v1 match). I don’t notice anything “small” such as ttk and map size (to an extent) because I just jump into it and enjoy what’s available. I do exactly the same throughout all of the Halo games so I don’t notice these things.

You realise that a lot of the people who take issue with some of the stuff in H5 are significantly better at h5 than you are right?

Also, the people who like h5 are the vocal minority.

no

But sprint makes the game old, slow and clunky. Newer games are dropping sprint in favor of fast base speed that allows the player to move quickly in all directions while shooting.

It was removed because bungie realised it didn’t work with the other mechanics of halo. It created (direct quote here) “pacing issues”.

Tsavo Highway, enought said

I actually always wondered why we couldn’t sprint to begin with. I didn’t enjoy jogging from the flood.

Haha exactly! And they actually aren’t spread out like that, or could play arena if you don’t but also think that there are canons everywhere, but if you’re so fed up with sprint play arena where you don’t have to Ben though you don’t have to anywhere

> I still don’t get the hate for sprint. It is so trivial. “sprint allows players to run away” My answer to that is so what? Of all things that can be wrong with a game. Sprint should be the least of your concerns. how about disconnect from the server? that’s a real issue. EVERY SINGLE TIMEI start up Halo 5 I get “REQs not available” message. It does not matter what internet I’m on. IT Does it EVERY SINGLE TIME. I have to go and “Test Multiplayer Connection” in the xbox settings. Once I do It then immediately works. That’s a real problem. Horrible team balancing in match making. That’s a REAL problem. Organized parties playing randoms. THATS a real problem. Sprint? that’s not a problem.

I agree with you

You salty bro? If you don’t like the mechanics then what are you doing still playing Halo? Thrusters are great for pulling off ninja’s and it’s pretty easy to predict when someone is going to thruster.

As soon as someone says “bro” you just know the post is going to be garbage tier.

Never fails.

I like sprint, though there are times when not using sprint can be better for gaining an advantage. I personally think spartan charge is more of an annoyance than sprint itself, especially in grifball. So many people just spartan charge in grifball and it can be annoying, however there are ways to cancel/reduce its effects.

Pro opinions need to be taken with a metric ton of salt.

Pros make money off the game as it is. Why would they want to change it and possibly shake up the power structure.

Pros have came out in the past and said that they have been falsely positive about Halo games because they fear negativity will lower the popularity of the game and again, lower the amount of money they can make.

To a pro this is a job, not a game. They approach it differently. I would look more at what top level AM players are saying.

Either way though. My main point was that player skill is not the reason people have issues with the game or do not have issues with the game. People don’t have issues with things like sprint because “they’re struggling”.

Did I say I was MLG? Did I say I was a pro? Oh wait, I didn’t. And don’t trust my stats on here. My little brother plays on my account too.

And like I said, the minority is people who hate Halo 5. There are people who don’t like Halo 5 and people who like it that are in the majority, but the hardcore haters are in the minority. Most true haters don’t play the games anymore and are no longer in the community, so they don’t even count.

And people who like Halo 5 are the least vocal, like when was the last time you ever saw Halo 5 supporters flood the forums with 200 different posts on why The Addition of Sprint Has Made Halo, Halo again or how Sprint is the greatest thing in the world. Why haven’t you other seen these kinds of post, (because clearly there are people who think this)? You haven’t, had you? And why is this? Because there is no point, they’re too busy playing the game. They’re too busy getting farmed by Achilles A-holes or wrecked/wrecking in “hard” WZFF, and guess what, these are the posts they are making, they still like Halo but these are what they rather discuss about, simple things that could be tweaked a bit or are cancerous to the game, not how a game mechanic you’re not forced to use is ruining the franchise.

It’s simple, if you didn’t want to use a sword or the gravity hammer in grifball (you wanted to use one or the other), you don’t have to, but other player will use the one you’re not using and kill you and you can’t complain about it, you have the choice to use. It’s the exact same because using the energy sword or the gravity hammer both have their advantages and disadvantages, which ever you decide to use it is totally up to you.
