or just a change of feel for people since we just had sprint for 6 years.

It’s not about the overall size of the map. It’s about the scaling.
I can’t believe how uninformed people that like sprint are. Even people like you that have been in this thread for ages and seemingly haven’t learned a thing.

I do agree that people haven’t learned why sprint is a problem or not a problem but they haven’t done the pros and cons on Halo.
sprint or no sprint i will still love halo.
I’m not a fan of the sprint system but it doesn’t change the game at all. so you move a little faster so what the enemy can run twice as fast into your sticky grenade and sniper scope.

I prefer the system where when your shot it forces you to stop or have limited sprint over this shield thing. I can’t get away from grenade happy players with this system
No, we just need to remove Spartan Charge.

Couldn’t say it better even if I wanted to good job

Or maybe we just don’t care that the maps are bigger and enjoy it. I’ve been playing MCC recently and it seems like everyone spawns right next to each other because the maps are so small because of the lack of sprint. Bigger maps aren’t always a bad thing because when you respawn it gives you more time to strategize before going back into battle.

Just be glad the grenades aren’t as powerful now as they were in the first 2 Halos.

Or just turn it into a charge up ability like ground pound so it doesn’t happen as often? I sometimes use when I turn a corner for an insta-kill or when I play infection I grab a sword and just run around spartan charging.
and this post can go in the box to the left with the other “Remove Sprint” posts. Like what Noble team said in the halo reach trailer, “Were not going anywhere”. Sprint stays
Which moderator put this back up?
i like sprint because the games become a lot quicker and you need to think about your game a lot more and the tactics you will use.

I haven’t learned anything? What I have learned is that most of the anti-sprinters in this thread seem to expect that every single factor in every game being played seem to be exactly the same. Most of these technicalities you talk about, I don’t notice them because I’m quickly adapting to whatever game it is I’m playing. Whether I’m playing Halo 1-3 Reach ODST or 5 (not even going to count 4 because anyone could have adapted to it), I just jump into it and do a little practice with my cousin or a friend to get used to it, (really just a 1v1 match). I don’t notice anything “small” such as ttk and map size (to an extent) because I just jump into it and enjoy what’s available. I do exactly the same throughout all of the Halo games so I don’t notice these things.
Of course people who have hard times transitioning or don’t like new game mechanics will blame the game or a game mechanic for their struggles. Sprinting doesn’t really affect gameplay other than making it faster to engage in combat.
Of course, I know that some of these are a big deal for people, but since it doesn’t bother me, I don’t really care about it since only a small minority are affected.
I hate the sprint in halo 5 because you can’t get away from people that love grenades. I’m forced to stop so they can throw grenades at me or I have the option to run to the team mate which can finish me off

I couldn’t agree more.
I’d very much argue that sprint should have been there right back in Halo2.I’'m glad it wasn’t for Halo1 but Halo2 was refined and so it’s surprising looking back that it wasn’t included as part of that design refinement
