I think it is I mean you are a Spartan of death Machine

Im for keeping the sprint. Halo has to evolve to keep up with the times and sprint is a major part of this. Also whenever I play the old halo games (Anything before Halo 4) I always wish I had sprint. But really those “old” halo games dont need sprint.

Finally, the truth that most people will decline because this game isn’t halo 3. I mean like, some people should just go back to there ‘beloved’ halo 3 and realise that they are the minority but they have the loudest voice

My god, for the last time, if halo didn’t introduce sprint, than halo would be worse, because it wouldn’t have innovated the series. It’s like the big industry crash when Atari was sent to the grave, and Nintendo came and revived the industry, so just leave sprint be, you know what quote me, and write down ONE reason why sprint is bad, I see NO flaws with it, and that’s why sprint is gonna stay!!!

I still feel halo 5 is strategic, just fast pace too. I like sprint any game without it (for me) is too slow and boring. You can bet if they make H6 with no sprint I won’t buy it. This is because once you play campaign what’s left? Matchmaking, where the majority of your time is spent

Sprint creates the illusion of speed. It doesn’t make games faster. It makes them SLOWER. Doom plays and feels faster than H5, but does not have sprint. I am getting a bit tired of refuting this misconception.

I hate to break it to you, bud, but the people still playing Halo 5 are a minority in the Halo community. It sold about half as much as Halo 4, which itself sold about 3/4 of Halo 3’s numbers, and the population has declined extremely quickly. Feel free to harbor this delusion if you want, but the reality is that the actual majority has stopped playing “modern” Halo and doesn’t post on these forums. The natural result of that is that the people who think all of this crap is a good thing are the majority of people still around You think that 343 should keep appealing to you, so their unit sales can keep declining as the rest of that “vocal minority” leaves? I wonder how irrelevant Halo will need to become before 343 or Microsoft decides that appealing to people like you over the millions of people who haven’t cared since Halo 3 or MAYBE Reach that aren’t buying/playing the games.

only bc they boosted the base movement speed

We’re talking about the remaining population. When people die or leave a country, they’re not counted in the population anymore. So by saying pro-sprinters or those who play Halo 5 are in the minority is false. The anti-sprinters are in the minority and minorities in this community tend to be the loudest.

dude halo is the same as used be get used to it sprint isn’t bad use it to your advantage not your disadvantage their is no reason to hate it. no sprint would just make things slower. slower would be less interesting sprint just makes it easier to get arond get over your self

Not only that but increased the FOV as well, yet they have rather large maps (larger than Halo 5), making the “sprint makes maps large” argument invalid when Overwatch also has quite expansive maps.

You realize you jumped higher in the original Halos, before they added clamber. So I’m pretty sure you walked faster, but I can’t be sure, but then again in Campaign they gave you vehicles most of the time.

While this remains to be seen, as it’s hard to gauge(however despite being anti-sprint, Pro-sprint is in the majority, probably). But it is true minorities tend to speak the loudest, which makes it hard to gauge, because they have something to complain about whereas supporters don’t. And the real reason I don’t like sprint is because of what it’s done to kill times and vehicles in Halo. So there is a reason it shouldn’t be there, it tends to bring faster ttks. Which makes it LESS UNIQUE, WOW GASP, because otherwise it would be one of the few “tactical shooters or whatever”. Okay, I’m done.

Omg how many times will we have the same posts over and over again about the sprint mechanic being removed. If you want halo to be “halo” again go play halo 3 or something. Why not go to custom games make your own maps/ game modes and disable the sprint then you will have the “halo” you want.

> Halo 6 could be the game EVERYONE wants by removing sprint in campaign (yes because who the -Yoink- needs TWO movement speeds in campaign???) and
> arena multiplayer at first I thought a no sprint playlist might be optimal but hear me out. I pretty sure the new spartan abilities (save -Yoinking!- spartan charge) would be GENERALLY accepted in a halo game if they werent accompanied by sprint it would feel more competitive more strategic and would also still be recognizable to the fine tuned experience we got in halo 5. Warzone and customs would be a whole other beast entirely retaining ALL the features that made halo 5 successful would keep warzone great and would also allow more options for custom games, for those people that actually wanted to play in a sprint arena type setting they could actually fire up the in game custom game lobby adjust the filter and be good to go! lets face it, sprint has NO place in competitve halo and to argue that it does would just be absurd. this would allow arena maps to continue to be designed the PROPER way and please the vets and basically everyone whos willing to give it a chance and you wouldnt lose much of your sprint loving audience at all because there would still be sprint in the game it would just take a backseat!
> Thoughts? :3

Make it a Spartan ability like it was in reach so kids don’t complain as much. It’ll limit them from using it. Plus Spartan armor is kinda heavy don’t you think?

Just no

100% false.

Most new games are no longer using sprint. To keep with the times Halo should drop sprint. Sprint makes H5 feels old, slow, clunky and dated compared to newer games that don’t have sprint.
