I was comparing all of their Xbox populations, so as far as population goes, being multi-platform has no effect on it. If anything, the fact that PS4 is doing so much better makes it worse that Halo is still being outplayed by so many other shooters on its own console.
You can’t have a campaign with no sprint, you got all day?

Have you played the new doom?
Campaign is amazing and very fast with no sprint.

Yeah but that’s with increased speed and op weapons. If you had Halo in that setting, it would probably take you a couple days if you were dedicating your time to it.
how about this game evolves past the halo 3 and reach gameplay and not regress back to it. I like sprint and feel like it’s a welcome edition to the series. I don’t really understand the whole halo 3 was the best mulitplayer I think it was the worst compared to all the others
I like the ability to Sprint in a Halo game. Halo 5 was the first game where the movement and abilities actually had me feel like a super soldier.
Let’s face it Sprint is here to stay, it’s never going to be removed alltogether however I think there should be maps/playlists where Sprint/AA do not exist and are not required, that way people will stop whining about it. As for Spartan Charge, that needs to -Yoink- asap! It’s way too OP in PvP and not OP enough in PvE. Looking at you WZFF.
sprint is hear to stay if you don’t want sprint go play Doom

Couple days to what?

A lot of new shooters are coming out with no sprint now.
Sprint in a game with long kill times feels very dated and archaic. H5 feels really clunky in comparison to newer games like overrwatch and doom.
Why is this thread up here??? I don’t know why this is still “debated” at this point.
Sprint is now integral to Halo, same with so many FPSs right now. Asking to take sprint out at this point is useless. Anyone who is butthurt about it, I feel you and I’m sorry, but its not gonna happen. That’s the reality. Maximize your happiness by accepting sprint is here to stay for future titles, and enjoy Halo for what it is.

Overwatch is one of the most popular AAA shooters on the market and it’s inluenced heavily by 90’s shooters. Just think a little before you imply things have to “evolve” and not “regress” to be fun and accepted among the masses.

Why is sprint good for Halo? “Because other games have it” is not an acceptable answer.
> 2533274806055932;2392:

Because sprint is the most controversial gameplay addition in the history of Halo.
We have so many sprint reqs. If you actually save them, as I have:
367: L1
423: L2
338: L3
You wouldn’t need sprint. You could play realistically. All you have to do IS SAVE YOUR REQS. There is a reason they give you REQ’s. That reason is NOT for you to be a GREEDY ~•=YOINKING=•~ Player.
If I told you how many Scorpions, Phaetons, Wraiths, you’d simply tell me I was playing the game wrong. That I shouldn’t be saving that many.
Yet, while you wish you had this or that, I have it, them, all. At my disposal at every game.
So, as I’ve said before… There’s no need for sprint. There’s a need for proper game design & proper playing. Lazy players now becoming lazy in their gaming. Let’s have obese Spartans next.

I’ve played all three games and I have no idea where you got this from. All of them feel differently. Doom is probably the smoothest out of all of them, then Halo. Overwatch feels so awkward in movement, (which is one reason I didn’t get it). Doom and Overwatch are both extremely fun at face value, the first 2-3 weeks are very fun, but there’s so little to do that it gets old real quick. I actually got Doom, and I only got it because it was a classic I grew up with and I loved the demo. I probably only play it about once a week now. Overwatch is a very casual game and I will admit that I’d does warrant some praise on many aspects, but there’s so little to do in terms of game that if you avidly play it, you’ll get through all of the characters several times and get bored of playing them in the same game modes.
The no sprint argument that these games are successful without sprint is a joke. These games are successful not because they don’t have sprint but because of their unique qualities. Doom is like being an actual badas.s demon exterminator with a huge nostalgic feel from original FPS game mechanics. Overwatch is popular because it brings new and original aspects to the FPS genre and it introduces an extremely diverse class based system to a new generation of gamers.
These games are great games, but nobody was thinking they’d get them just because they have no sprint. They got these games because of their drift from mainstream FPS (which includes no sprint but not limited to it), their unique in game experiences, and because of their diversity in customization which is what makes both of these games good.
I keep posting in the wrong forum. Pardon me ladies & gentlemen.

That’s kind of the point. A game doesn’t need sprint to be fun and popular among the masses, which is the only reason 343 kept it in Halo (they’ve admitted as much).

Uh, no. No sprint is A HUGE reason why those two games are great at what they do(doom sp, overwatch MP).
You feel like a badass in doom because you can move quickly in all directions while shooting. That is the very core of the fun of that game. Sprint would literally destroy that.
