Not sure how your post is supposed to help your argument. Yeah, it was polled to death, with the large majority always being against sprint.
Also, the year has nothing to do with game mechanics. Game mechanics are included if they’re good for the game. Making any decision regarding how a game should play based on the year is bad game development and probably laughable to most in the industry.
Sprint isn’t the BIG thing some are making out to to be, I mean 1-3 no sprint and the games did well lived a long time etc BUT take a look at CEA launch week I never saw more then a few thousand on MP. Reach had a classic playlist for those who screamed about AA’s POP never went above 3k even after all the crying for it. Anytime we’ve gotten a new Halo and they add in a classic playlist it dies within a month. Anti sprinters may be vocal but their numbers aren’t high enough to warrant the playlists creation.

CEA multiplayer was Halo reach multiplayer, which had some terrible issues.
It had bloom and the shield system was trash, making it feel nothing like CE

You can’t sit there and say sprint isn’t one of the main issues killing Halo gameplay. Every game that had no sprint were a lot more healthier games than games that came with sprint. In Reach no one cared about the classic playlist, because people were already playing the MLG playlist that was NBNS (No AA’s) which basically revitalized Reach. 343i needs to just stop what they are doing, and start thinking about what made Halo, Halo.

You have clearly never played CounterStrike or any original PC arena games. Enough bindings for sprint, but they never put it in.
Stop drinking the kool-aid. There were enough buttons to put sprint in games a long time ago it only became popular after CoD and BF exploded in popularity. Not too many people were really asking for Sprint even until CoD 4 came out and now the problem with the FPS genre is that everyone uses the same cookie cutter layout.

Because they’re never true to form “classic” I can’t play Halo 4 or 5 with a ballistic BR can I? No classic vehicle health etc. Etc. Inspired is about the best term you can use for classic playlists because they will never beat playing the older game.

unless they’re sprinting too in which case you won’t catch them. In that case I’d say it’s probably just easier to shoot them, unless they have full shields in which case you have to commit to slowing down and trying to kill them, which is just another problem I have with Sprint.

Increase radar range to 40m
Spartan is invisible on radar if not sprinting
(This is actually how I play Warzone post Req level 5)
This would make sprint what it was designed for - Traveling fast from one point to another
I’m sorta used to sprint at this point, but if it was removed, I would be ok with it.
Personally, I think we need to get rid of anything thruster pack (Dash, Spartan Charge, Ground Pound, ADS Hover). I think you would see sprint complaints drop if these components were removed.
