This. Literally up the base movement speed and add a new animation for running while not engaging an enemy that gives you a very minor speed boost. Strafe improves increasing skill gap, people move faster, increasing gameplay flow, and the pro-sprint people who like the illusion of moving faster have the illusion maintained without breaking the flow of the game since you will be able to shoot immediately rather then having to ready a weapon. Seriously, what’s the problem with this solution?

I get his his general love for Halo 5, he’s put in over double the amount of time in the game on Warzone, and the fact of the matter is Halo 5 is catered to Warzone. It’s makes them the most money. Warzone isn’t my cup of tea. Arena is pretty much all I play and what most of the critiques against sprint are geared towards. I’m sure people would be fine with it being in Warzone or even BtB, but I and I assume plenty of others would like to see a sprintless arena Halo game this generation.

This is a great alternative but what do you make the playlist centered around? Would it be team area with slayer and objective game types? This would be ideal. Or would it be a straight up slayer playlist so that sprinters and dip their toes in more comfortably.
I’d love a classic playlist but it’d have to be done right. Playing devil’s advocate I just feel like if 343i makes it they’d be back tracking their vision for the franchise. This maybe why a playlist hasn’t sprung up. There might also be a group of people within 343i who want sprint to be removed and the population of a playlist with no sprint might give them an edge in an argument against the heads who think sprint should stay.

I think a classic playlist would be a good idea so we have classic mode of Halo and modern Halo.
