I pretty sure the new spartan abilities (save -Yoinking!- spartan charge) would be GENERALLY accepted in a halo game if they werent accompanied by sprint it would feel more competitive more strategic and would also still be recognizable to the fine tuned experience we got in halo 5. Warzone and customs would be a whole other beast entirely retaining ALL the features that made halo 5 successful would keep warzone great and would also allow more options for custom games, for those people that actually wanted to play in a sprint arena type setting they could actually fire up the in game custom game lobby adjust the filter and be good to go! lets face it, sprint has NO place in competitve halo and to argue that it does would just be absurd. this would allow arena maps to continue to be designed the PROPER way and please the vets and basically everyone whos willing to give it a chance and you wouldnt lose much of your sprint loving audience at all because there would still be sprint in the game it would just take a backseat!

also how productive and creative to go around insulting people in a thread you think isn’t important. Much life very not sad.

I personly think that when they added the sprint ability in halo reach It was pretty cool and it was one of my favorite abilitys but in halo 4 when they added sprint just as a regular thing that was even better then in halo 5 where they added thrust and sprint that was awesome so my ansewre is yes sprint should be in halo 6

Stop with this stupid argument, no matter how much you complain this will never get solved.

If getting rid of sprint means we can get decently made maps back into rotation, then by all means do it. Can anybody honestly say a positive about ANY map we’ve received in the updates thus far? Yes they are recycled assets from previous maps, but none of them have a good flow or memorable spots for contention due to either being stretched out or underdeveloped. What does that have to do with sprint you might wonder? Scale is ruined by it.

Yeah! Problems get solved if you ignore them! It’s science.

In my opinion, Halo 4 was just different enough to still be Halo, but it had a nice little twist. With Halo 5, 343 changed so many aspects, it was barely recognizable as a Halo game. I’ve been playing since Combat Evolved and you’ve lost the Halo feel. Halo is getting easy. Back in #3, I felt challenged and loved the campaign. In #5 I simply sat through it, almost forced to experience it. Setting aside the story flaws, I dislike the thruster pack. Armor mods were awful but where did this thruster come from? I feel it was better when you walked the same pace all the time and didn’t need to thrust around. It’s unnecessary.

I think sprint would be perfectly fine in something like halo 6 but that being said they would have to change a lot of map layout. This coming from someone who is a halo veteran, I liked halo 5 and the new mechanics (including running)worked well in campaign and multiplayer. But the problem with running wasn’t actually the running. But how the multiplayer maps were built and setup for new mechanics. Maps just weren’t memorable or very unique to play on. The gameplay was fun but their just wasn’t much variety to play on, another huge problem is you can’t play classic halo maps because the running mechanics will throw the balance off. If this map problem could be fixed and or improved, running at least in multiplayer would not as bad.

yeah that’s probably one of the main problems.

For campaign, sprint is fine. Sprint in multiplayer doesn’t work.

MP doesn’t really work due map design and how small the maps are.

In the top 10 of the best-selling games of all time sits “New Super Mario Bros.” for DS and “New Super Mario Bros. Wii” for the Wii, both of which not only play identical to each other, but also to the 30 year old “Super Mario Bros.” for the NES, and also managed to sell 3/4 of that game’s copies, in 1/3rd of the time.
And I haven’t even touched on “Mario Kart Wii”, which sits on spot #3 of said list…
Please tell me again how Nintendo Games are dying for keeping the same formula…

Because those games were made for kids and kids don’t see the difference in games so they can recycle the game over and over again and they wont notice.

> For campaign, sprint is fine. Sprint in multiplayer doesn’t work.

Wrong. Sprint causes just as many, if not more issues in campaign. Leveldesign is heavily influenced by sprint. Softkill zones have been added ever since it was introduced. Some level-skips for speedrunners or LASO players have become virtually impossible to pull off thanks to this, and because sprint needs a build-up second before reaching top speed, in order to make some trick jumps. Enemies are designed with player top-performance in mind, so they (out)match his maximum speed and combat effectiveness at the same time whereas the player has to pick one over the other.
People always talk about ripple effects in multiplayer (map size, game flow, choke points, etc.) but fail/forget to apply the same line of thought to campaign.

If they kill sprint then they should take it back to what HCE would of played like without the OVERPOWERED pistol. It was supposed to be a console’s take on early old school PC arena shooters but thanks to the HCE Pistol, the BR, the DMR, the Covenant Carbine, and Light rifle Halo has been way too precision orientated.

What do we want?
Short Hops not Moon Jumps
Automatics not pocket pistol snipers, semi snipers, half snipers, precision precision precision rifles
Circle strafing not serpentine bullet dodging dances
Teleporters, Health packs, overshields, invisibility
Maps like Chiron TL 34, Boarding Action, Rat Race

Only if they fix MCC people would be happy.

I actually want moon jumps. I hate how H5G has nerfed the jump height in favor of -Yoink- clamber.
The rest of the suggestions I’m either indifferent to or even in favor of (i.e. health kits).
Also, Chiron TL-34 and Boarding Action were always some of my favorite maps of the CE roster. No idea why they constantly got so much hate.

I haven’t notice the jump height nerfed.

HCE’s Jump was like a foot and a half at most

Then they do need to make the jump higher since makes parkour easier.

Parkour?! Well I like what Titanfall 2 is doing but that wouldn’t really be a good fit for Halo
