Currently, the spawning system in a match of Big Team Battle slayer makes the game very difficult to play smoothly. Most often, at the beginning of the match, both teams rush to the center of the map to start pushing the enemy base. This causes the spawns to flip, allowing the entire team of enemies to attack from behind, while the aggressive players try to pick up stragglers at the original spawn. By the time the game is halfway through, the spawns are so hectic that its impossible to tell where your enemy will be.
Old, Bungie-made maps were made in such a way that spawns were hard set with one team on one side and the other team on the other side. The map was big enough and diverse enough that the game didn’t have to resort to flipping the spawns entirely to prevent spawn killing.
It’s very frustrating to be playing safe, or hanging in the back lines with a sniper rifle and your teammates push forward to the other side of the map and the entire enemy team spawns behind you for an easy kill.
I hope 343i realizes that this is a problem and fixes it with future maps and gametypes.
I totally agree. It’s ridiculous when the spawns flip like every 30 seconds. The fact that enemies can always spawn behind you makes the game mode just frustrating to play
it’s the worst on deadlock
