The Spartan Superior

After all this time that the SPARTAN Projects have been in the the UNSC’s usage, why wouldn’t a new format of creating super soldiers be invented? I understand that the Spartans have been very affective and have many benefits, but why doesn’t someone or some other group come up with a SS project to aid or become the superior to the Spartans. The public already knows about the SIIs and SIIIs, so why wouldn’t anyone try it?

It’s just like cellphones, cars, computers, etc. There is always someone trying to takeover as the dominant in anything, especially technology, so why wouldn’t there be another person or group trying to design the next breed of super soldiers. Besides, it’s not like the SPARTAN projects are going to go on forever, eventually there will definitely be a superior, it’s just, why not one now?

It costs a significant amount of money to create super soldiers. According to Halsey’s journal, there were some competing projects, but the exact nature of these projects is never detailed.

In addition, the process to create Spartans was developed almost entirely by Dr. Halsey, and her methods were monstrous by any standards. It’s unlikely any company would think of the various factors that Halsey though up. Even with the Spartan IV program going back to adult volunteers, many of the chemical augmentations used to enhance the Spartans are likely kept exclusive to the military. Anyone outside select members of ONI may not even know of the existence of such chemical augmentationss.

Hmm… Reminds me of Universal Soldier…

Toa pretty much summed it all up. Couldn’t have done it better myself!

The S-IVs ARE a new format of creating super soldiers.

No duh, but, I was just wondering why there aren’t any other super soldier producers.

There were other competing projects but we don’t know anything about them. IF 343 was smart they would start bringing up information on one of side projects and the covenant war from that perspective once the Spartans are worn out. which they will be after the spartan IV program.
