No doubt fun for those individuals that enjoy such trigger happy gunplay, the ability to spam the sidekick defeats much of the purpose it serves as a precision headshot weapon in practice.
While one might still be able to aim true and utilize one’s talent at the game, it is still quite common for many to fire quickly without regard to accuracy or skill. Such persons of the latter sort are sadly rewarded far more often than persons of the former.
Alas, this might be the point of such a mode, but for an individual such as I, it is not fun.
Ah, but unlike your assumption, mine is backed up with experimentation and data, as you can see here [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pd5utzFMMws&t=70s)
It took a couple of minutes to realise that the fight was at mid range and you had more freedom in moving through the map.
And bursts of three shots gave a sense of consistency.
I guess it probably does stray a little bit too far from the essence of SWAT… but it’s worth a try.
And I guess that’s the key with these events. Not everything is going to work.
And I did fluke a couple of long range head shots in quick succession on my controller. I’m assuming my opponents were straight onto the web to air their disapproval of the cheating KBM hacker.
This is the stronger bullet mag controller receives. If you have KBM, try out the same thing you did in your video and you’ll see more shots will miss than hit.
I mean, the Magnum is a precision headshot weapon, the Sidekick isn’t. The problem with where 343 went wrong is that the Sidekick should be something that’s usable but that’s not super strong, like how the Magnum was, after all this very clearly isn’t the Magnum so it shouldn’t work like the Magnum, however for some reason 343 actually made the Sidekick work like the Magnum, if not even better. The ability to spam the Sidekick without a cap is why I can run around with it as my primary weapon despite people saying you can’t or shouldn’t primarily use the Sidekick. I can legitimately outgun a BR with a Sidekick and I shouldn’t be able to. I should use the Sidekick as a clean up gun, not as my primary.
@ItzTheDay Yeah Idk, 343’s design philosophies are super confusing. They didn’t want the Sidekick to be on the same level as the Magnum however it’s actually way better lmao.
I don’t care if people are tired of hearing me say this or not, facts are facts. The weapons on KBM perform exactly how they should. In OPs video, the Sidekick does not perform like that with KBM. Off target shots are misses, not hits. It’s the most annoying and frustrating thing about this game. Getting out gunned by someone who is missing just as much, if not more than you because of the input you’re (generally speaking) playing with.
@l_HyperLethal_l I got that kill because the Sidekick has no fire rate cap and Infinite’s players are bad. I constantly see comments saying that you CAN’T use the Sidekick as your primary, however I can, so I guess everyone is just bad lmao.
