How would you see a new Halo game where the Red Army strikes back mightily. Russian Spartans would not be bad with dangerous weapons. Can also be turned into a fair story. Americans

I like the idea of a Russian Spartan or a Russian Spartan team, but the Soviet Union really has no place in Halo.

It’s not like the UNSC or any Halo faction are American, the “UN” in UNSC stands for United Nations.
Slavic inhabitants of some human planet who are separatists that speak Russian is the closest I could see, there is no Soviet Union in the 26th century.

Okay wait, I’m confused too now. I know there was war with the Soviet Union between 2160 and 2164. Does the UNSC only stands for America or also for other countries. And why did the war even come about ?
Yeah, so the way I understood it is that Koslovics were inspired by the old Soviet Union, based on the founder’s name I’m guessing he’s of Russian descent.
The UNSC is the UEG’s (United Earth Government) military. The UEG is basically what it sounds like, a united government for all of earth (and later when they started colonising other planets it was also the galactic human government), so it is not America or any other specific country, but all of them.
Although if all countries are equally represented is unknown as far as I’m aware.

I don’t know about the war but pretty sure unsc stands for all the other nations too. Since the full name of the unsc is United Nations Space Command.
The UNSC represents the military branch of the unified government of the earth, the USSR did not exist in space it was simply the colonies of Mars and Jupiter, if I remember correctly, that were unified because they did not want to continue being part of said government.
It’s a bit like The Expanse story.

Firstly, there are already Russian Spartans. Earth has united under one Government, so the leaders of America are the same as Russia and every other country and inner colony. The Soviet Union is old news in Halo just like it’s old news in Modern history, my friend.

I really would not want a U.S.S.R propaganda game. I don’t care if we see Russian Spartans; however, I think we should leave IRL politics strictly out of the game.

The Koslovics were neo-Communist, if I remember correctly as well.
Also, all countries are equally represented under the UEG. Most of the former countries of earth have formed into geopolitical blocks based on location more than anything, and those help run the planet and keep everything going smoothly on local scales.
The mere presence of the USSR (or comparable government) would not make it “Soviet Propaganda”. IRL politics are inevitably going to make it into all forms of media and entertainment, as that is the primary method of making these issues relatable and digestible.

The U.S.S.R is equivalent to the 3rd Reich. I see no need to give the U.S.S.R any exposure whatsoever, and the death toll it racked up which is quite literally in the millions upon millions speaks for itself.

Waypoint isn’t letting me link, but one Google search will show that the U.S.S.R actually has a higher death toll than bad guy Germany; however, as you said that’s about as far as I’ll go on this topic as well.
