The Sound of the Battle Rifle Halo Infinite.
The sound could be improved, so take the actual sound byte of the B.R. and buffer it out to sound more pleasant.
Trigger pulls should be addicting and create a dopamine like effect in the brain. In Halo this is especially important because as a respawn shooter, the amount of repetitions with the starting weapon is a tremendous amount of reps. We’re talking tens of thousands hundreds of thousands of reps pulling that trigger.
If you compare Infinites Battle Rifle to past BRs, I’d say this one sounds a bit grindier and beefy. Now beefy is not a problem if it has more bass to buffer out the sharpness of the sound byte. Look at the CE Magnum for example. It has a great sound that has more bass, it’s not necessarily hyper realistic though either. Which in a sci fi shooter you can get away with stuff like that. It’s an augmented reality anyway. Which is why the whole super soldier thing is so important. To feel all powerful that starting weapon needs to sound good to the brain to where you are strengthening your brain and not grinding.
Everything else about Infinite’s Battle Rifle is good; the reticule, the performance. The actual sound of the Battle Riffle could be buffered out to sound better, harmonizing with the brain. There is multiple ways this could be done.
Take the actual sound byte of the Battle Rifle put it in an audio editor and buffer it out. The good news is this is easily done, and could make a world of difference in the Halo experience.
