Even if the betrayals were accidental, I generally don’t go to their body and search for weapons. I really hope 343i sees this or does something similar.

I’d like to say other wise. Most of my betrayals (notice the missing quotation marks?) are the cause of teammates that don’t know what there doing. I.E. my teammate cleary sees I stuck an enemy, yay me right? well not when the teammate activates sprint to try to steal the kill via pumble/assassination/ninja.
Or…and I can’t believe people haven’t suggested this before…how bout they turn off friendly fire?
That way, the only way to betray someone is to push them off the edge of a map, which in itself would defeat the purpose of betraying for a weapon because the gun would fall off the map as well.
That annoyed me so much on Infection, Bungie decided to just take away betrayal booting when they should have just turned off Friendly Fire. I mean come on…how difficult is it to do that?
Makes you wonder at their level of intelligence :I
Hilarious accidental betrays are a part of halo. We can’t take them out.
But if someone goes to your corpse afterwards it is clearly vindictive, and it punishes them far more effectively than an extended respawn, but if it was accidental it doesn’t matter, the accidental betrayer won’t care.
Yeah, I don’t want them to turn friendly fire off. As OP said, that’d just take away from all those funny betrayal vids. Taking away the ability to pick up their weapons sounds more reasonable.
I agree with turning off friendly fire, no betrayals ever again lolz. and you should be booted for multiple suicides, such as 4 within 2 minutes or so, because that means the person want you to lose :S

think about it! people in Living dead betray people all the f’ing time, they cant pick up ammo and they know it. It just mean that people in this world are d-bags.

turning friendly fire off in living dead is ok, but not in general.
In my opinion, I understand about how you say most betrays are because of power weapons. But what about the idiotic, no life people that run out in the middle of the map and let the other team kill them, or not even playing for free kills. Then a smart player would try to betray them before the other team could kill them, but after that the good players get booted because of the bad players feel like wasting their lives on crap like that. I feel that there should be a patch to have a vote to boot someone off the team mid game by pressing start or clicking their name on the death screen. If the majority of the team (for example 3 of 4, 6 of 10, etc) click on the name and choose and option, for example, "vote for remove (or boot) then the player should be booted. It’s not far for the players that work hard to win a game just to see the other team’s score go up faster to find out it’s one of your teammates going around killing himself or letting the other them kill him. This is just my opinion but I feel that many people will agree with me about this.
Really, I think friendly fire should just be removed. Yes, it removes the part of planning your rocket shots with teammates around, but let’s get serious, betrayals aren’t right. I think it is worth it to get rid of people betraying you for weapons, smacking you for no reason just before the enemy comes in, and just following around and repeatedly taking your shields down because they think it’s fun to be annoying.
This kind of stuff needs to stop, and it’s the only way it will every disappear.
