The small amount of Reqs in GoM has me suspicious

I was just looking over last weeks update, and seeing the hate (which is normal on this forum) for the update. I think there’s more to the update than they’re letting on.

Last month they did a good job hiding the CE mag. I’m thinking 343i is trying to keep more of the updates a secret until the live stream. More wow factor.

343i knows we want infection. They know it’s been a major part of halo since halo 3. They know forgers love it. With the update being named “GHOSTS of Meridian” I honestly think it’s still coming with this update, they’re just keeping it secret for dramatic effect.

They didn’t outline any new tweaks, or featues or anything in the update, partly cuz they were still coming off of the HCE but also, IMO because they want to keep more behind the curtain.

But it I could be completely wrong. What do you guys think?

I’m pretty confident that it will come this update. Why? In the next updates, where would infection fit in? Memories of Reach maybe but that would seem like a waste of potential for something else.

It could be like you said, but what if they are running out of ideas of REQ’s so that they shortend the amount of REQ’s per Update?

It’s more than likely the Warzone Assault Variant of the new map. They’re just keeping it blurred for dramatic effect.

Maybe, but seeing as 343 is bound to know how wanted infection is at this point I think they’d milk the infection hype as much as they can, so no I don’t think it’s coming yet.

even if they’d have no inspiration for reqs, they only have to browse the forums for like 30 minutes and they’l be set for another 6months.

Who knows. For me it is all about the thrill of opening a req pack to discover new emblems, visors, and armors. /s

as a 343i employee, i can confirm OP has no idea what he is talking about

I get that the blurred out block is a map but I’m thinking they’re just completely hiding the game type from us. Nowhere to be seen on the info graphic

Yeah, sure, its in the same row as all the maps were in another update, but all the maps have a BLACK map symbol. The blur doesn’t seem to have any black on it, and definitely looks like a biohazard sign to me. But I still aint gettin my hopes up.
