Forgive me if I may be bashing on 343i, not my intention, but I’m just wondering why does the sky look so fake on that map? If you don’t know what I mean, go play Forge yourself and go to the highest point you can fly in that map, if you observe the sky as you move, it looks like Ragnarok is inside a big dome painted like the sky. I don’t know, it just feels like you could actually hit the sky if there were no boundaries. It feels like the map may have been rushed a bit?

Its official, every possible thing that could be complained about, now has been. The game has been picked apart. The only thing left is scraps.

Just when you think they have complained about everything, someone finds something new. Really? Your worried about the sky?
I have seen the complaints as as well, although I rather just call this an observation. There are things that can’t go unnoticed though, and are worth complaining about, such as the dismal amount of customization for “Flood” mode.
might have a little something to do with the fact that it is a simulation… techinically all the wargames maps are

Thanks Duranu, and yes. There are not enough cats. I am going to start a movement. Rise of the Bromethean cats!
I’m just confused at why you can’t see Requiem’s ceiling while playing, even though Spartan Ops confirms that Ragnarok is set on Requiem.
This may be due to the terrain.
If you look at the water on Ragnarok and Valhalla, you’ll find that in both games, the water just “stops” where the two centermost mountains form a “V” shape. There is nothing beyond that point, which makes the skybox look much closer than it is. This flaw can be seen in a Gameinformer screenshot.
Something else that may contribute to what you’re seeing is the way the outer mountains are structured. In Halo 3, they were a separate ring placed at a great distance from the main chunk of terrain; the perspective illusions involved here may have helped to give a sense of scale. In Halo 4, there is no such mountain ring; Ragnarok is made up of only the main single piece of continuous terrain.

Good eye. It may depend on weather conditions or on the elevation of the map… or it could just be an oversight.
The ceiling is visible from Ravine, so if it wasn’t an oversight, then there must be some geographical difference between Ragnarok and Ravine that causes the ceiling’s visibility to vary.

or they just said that to appease the fans and didnt care about making a cieling to represent requiem.
Poor Halo 4, you’re like the unwanted little brother nobody appreciates. Out of all the things to rip on you’re going to rip on the maps. Like where was all this complaint on Halo 2 and Halo Reach?

Besides Halo 1, I have never seen a Halo game where the multiplayer community didn’t trash on it.

Obviously not the right type of trees in Ragnarok. The Pelican looks atrocious, it isn’t even close to the Halo 3 model.
