To me the new forge world was to small for my liking and just didin’t seem like it would be aall that great when i comes to making maps on it, to emphisize better what i mean is the main reason the reach forge world was good was beacause of all the open grass areas, to me if we have only one grass, desert, snow area, the geometry will look to similar and make maps look dull, i don’t want the maps to be a big as the original forge world, just say 3/5 the size of forge world.
Race tracks won’t be as big as they were on Reach but other than that, I see no problems with the size of the map(s). Besides, do we know how big the other 2 are? Have I missed them?!
We haven’t seen all of the map ‘Ravine’ yet. And plus, the only map in Halo that is bigger than it is Forge world so I don’t have a problem with it if we’re getting three different pallets that aren’t grey and will add so much to the replay value.

However people can’t complain, by the looks of it the 3 environments aren’t even that small. Were people honestly expecting 3 Forge worlds?! To me it’s simple. Instead of 1 simple and saming, big map, we get 3 distinct and unique medium maps.

Im a BTB forger, and yes we do need at least one big forgemap, preferably a sandtrap style map, as it would probably be cheaper for the engine to render vs a big very detailed map.

I understand you want a BTB map.
However I think everyone has their own value on what is ‘Big’.
After Forgeworld which was pretty huge, a lot of people are seeing the environment we saw at RTX as ‘Small’. The reality of it is, it isn’t small, it’s a reasonable big map it just has a lot of features inside it. The open field area appears smaller and less of an Hemorrhage space because of the river, hills, forerunner structure and fissure running through the middle. Yes, it is smaller than Forgeworld, what possibly isn’t?
I can’t say for certain but I;m pretty sure the other 2 maps that will feature different environments (possibly desert and snow) will have a more open ‘field’ type space for this style of map and gameplay.
