The size of the areans maps, i think, are to small

Am i the only one who thinks the maps are way to small for how quick player movement is now

You definitely are, yes.

Yeah. I think you’re on your own.

If anything, a few of them are a bit too big.

Absolutely. Partly why I find previous Halo’s much more fun and likely a contribution to this game’s not so stellar population. Halo’s 2-Reach had much bigger 4v4 maps with multiple levels/lanes unlike Infinite’s. Hell, even some 4v4 maps would be used as big team maps or vice versa as well (looking at you Terminal) which you don’t see at all in this game or 5.

The current size of the maps would be fine for halo 3 but since the mobility has been increased so much the current map sizes make every thing to sweaty and makes spawn killing way to frequent

I think the Arena maps are noticeably larger in Infinite than previous titles for sure. This is realit apparent when you walk Infinite’s maps and compare them to legacy iterations.

Like go walk H5 Coliseum and Infinite’s Catalyst back to back, or at the same time. The layouts are incredibly similar, but Catalyst is stretched wwwwwaaaaayyyyy far in every direction.

You can see the same thing with H3’s The Pit and Emperyean. Because of Infinite’s extremely high base movement speed, everything in the map is stretched further and enlarged.

I can keep going and going… I like Infinite’s gameplay, but the maps are designed so you basicaly have to learn how to super slide to engage in any game platinum and above.

In my opinion, there has been a noticeable increase in player movement speed over the past week or so. I’m not sure who they are trying to appeal to, but it doesn’t appeal to me personally. It seems that players are now focused on traversing the maps as quickly as possible, which is the latest trend.

It seems like the Halo devs are sacrificing fluid movement for erratic speed. If you’ve played Destiny, you’ll know that the movement mechanics in that game are very smooth and enjoyable. I think it would be great if 343 Industries adopted that movement style for Halo, as it would be more fitting for the type of game Halo is supposed to be.
