I am currently raging with this shot registration. It is God awful. In SWAT I shoot people in the face (I have even gone into theatre to make sure I’m not crazy) and I’m not killing them. When I watch the film over I’ve seen hitting them in the ear will kill them but a direct shot in the middle of the face does nothing? Or in the chin? Sometimes nothing at all. Crown of the head, nothing. Also in slayer I have had people take 3, 4, even 5 shots to kill when they’re “one shot”. I’m questioning if anyone else is having this problem. This kind of sh*t needs to be fixed. A one shot is a one shot and a headshot no matter where on the head, is a -Yoink!- headshot…

Or how a melee can kill you at near full shields.
Did I mention the broken hitbox with weapons, namely the BR? You shoot their foot and get a headshot, shoot them in the face and don’t earn that sweet perfect kill. It really annoys me how I fail to connect a headshot when I hit them in the head.
oh man youre not alone the ive shot a guy wit 5 burst from a br when he was one shot and he didnt die it happens all the time the hit detection is so crap.

speaking of broken hit boxes the splatters hit box is huge and you die when a vehicle is barely moving like youre a super soldier in 1000lb armor yet a vehicle will kill you going like 1 mile an hour

Oh, don’t forget about jumping over a Ghost… it’s like a Spartan Charge, you clear the jump and we all know it… but you still get REQ’d.

I’m glad others have this problem but pissed beyond belief that others are having this problem. I swear they did something with hit detection because on release I had no problems. Now I’m watching myself miss a sniper behind the head and get a kill. I just don’t get it. I haven’t been able to play the last day because of how mad this makes me. My BR is taking 6-8 shots to kill someone, when a SMG melts my shields and health in not even a fourth of a mag. Other times I’ll drop a perfect kill with body shots. So -Yoinking!- stupid. 343 needs to fix this, it’s honestly ruining the game for me and from the people I play with they say the same.
Oh and the thrusting. I would say I’m quite good at moving when someone is about to shoot. I will thrust and end up dying anyway. In theater, I 80% of the time do get out of the way of the shot, but it doesn’t matter. The enemy will shoot where I was that fraction before I boost and it will kill me. The air is linking to my Spartan apparently. I wish I knew before hand that a Spartan becomes a big -Yoink- spirit as well.
Its not the hitboxes, its the servers.
