The Season Pass Issue

WARNING! I do not want to read a cry- or unconstructive criticism in that Thread. I want to approach the Season Pass thing on a higher level and I hope, this thread will not be locked because of some “hate” or “defend it to the death” posts - and by the way, sorry for my potatoe english.

> “regular updates that span more than six months, including: New Leaders with abilities that change the course of multiplayer matches, new units that add to your multiplayer arsenal, new Blitz cards to collect and take into battle, and new campaign missions that expand the Halo Wars 2 story.”

I interpret, and I am referring to my experience with Halo 5, that every month a new Leader will come to those who bought the season pass. Theoretically, nothing will come until the last day of the sixth month, which I do not believe cause we already get Kinsano and, whoever will read this later, Colony.
So we can assume that every month a new leader or every month new content appears.

What kind of Content?

  • New Leader - New Maps [?] - New Campaign missions

> 5. To folks ranting about being deceived or misled, the “3rd Wednesday of the month” was our own “target” that we publicly set when the game launched. The Season Pass itself specifically promises “regular updates that span more than six months, including: New Leaders with abilities that change the course of multiplayer matches, new units that add to your multiplayer arsenal, new Blitz cards to collect and take into battle, and new campaign missions that expand the Halo Wars 2 story.” We very much plan to ship new content on a monthly cadence but there’s no legal obligation or deceptive advertising going on here.

So the content will drop between 1st and the last day of the month? Maybe? Maybe not? [why do I have to think now of Ramsay Bolton there]
In my opinion, the information of the Season Pass is described very badly and need an overhaul. For my legal understanding, it is not easy to see what is being offered exactly when. [Oh my grammar]. Every month, every two months or every half month?

343 and CA have in my opinion very good approaches with the monthly contentdrop shown. However, they could not comply with their own deadlines, which were not binding in this respect. The fact that the unfortunate delays of the first two expansions throw a bad light on the team is not surprising. That many of you feel frisky, I agree with that is, at least I think, justified.Of course it is true that theorethically on the last day of a month only the expansion can come but because of the statement that every third Wednesday of a month the new content should come, many players are rightly annoyed.

I think it’s a good thing, especially with regard to Halo 6, when 343 really interacts with the community more effectively, starts own polls, what the players want, what the players do not want.
At this point, I would like to praise all the moderators in this forum who are doing their best to keep us together, even if we have different opinions. I also want to thank all who will give constructive feedback so far and hopefully in the near future, so that we will all have a better and more enjoyable experience.

As far as Halo Wars 2 is concerned, I believe that the developers could introduce votes for the game lists or the ranking system - or whatever.

Perhaps you, who have read all this, will agree with me or have a different opinion.
I would like to read the opinion of the developers, how they will deal with all this now.

Wherever you are, I wish everyone a good morning, a good lunch [really Google Translator???], a good evening or a good night

What do YOU think about that? Please stay constructive

The season pass has been advertised very badly. All 343 said before the game was released, and fans had paid for the pass with the collectors edition, was that there would be ‘regular updates that span more than 6 months’. People had paid for this without knowing if this was every fortnight, month, 2 months. Whether there would be 2 leaders, 10 leaders, a few maps, 10 maps??? and even now we’re still not sure. I’ve heard rumours of only 2 campaign missions, not sure where though?

343 should have let consumers know the exact number of leaders, maps, campaign missions etc. when the season pass was first announced, so we know what we’re paying for.

Totally understand your point. On the other side - we were so stupid and still bought the Season Pass

But I hope that the Season Pass will have a good description instead of the actuall things…
But looking to Halo 6, I will first look what there will be in the Season Pass before I will buy it.

I doubt Halo 6 will have one honestly. I think they’ve made a exponential amount more from the REQ system than a season pass would have yeilded.

I feel like the goal of new content every month is awesome and achievable. I’m also glad that 343 explained that the third Wednesday was more of a soft deadline than a hard one.

Most of all I am appreciative of the communication from 343. Not all may be as thankful as I, but I am grateful for any communication.

I still have the hope that the REQ`s will go forever xD

I’m ending this here. There’s a reason why he locked it. Let’s leave the discussion there with his closing statement.
