The ''Saving Halo Reach for Xbox One''-Thread

Hey guys,

as we all know Halo Reach for Xbox One doesn’t work properly. Not properly in this matter is understated, truth is, due to framerate issues the majority of the gamemodes stays untouched on the XB1. Playing campaign is not possible, if you are trying to get heroic/legendary achievements since aiming with 10-15 fps makes it nearly impossible to even kill easy, slow moving targets, BTB & firefight are completely unplayable, due to heavy performance impacts to 5-10ish fps. The only barely playable gamemode is arena, when small maps are getting picked, otherwise huge fps dips are seen.

The goal of this thread is to change this, either by patching Halo Reach to a playable state or releasing a remastered 60fps version for the XB1. To achieve this, we should all try to drive attention to Reach’s unplayable current state. So I, myself, tweetet to Andy Dudynsky and Bonnie Ross asking politely for informations regarding possible upcoming patches or a release of a remastered version.

Lets use this thread to drive attention, post down below what you tried so far. Important to mention: stay constructive and polite if you contact 343 Industries and/or Microsoft Studios, since immature-ish, bashing behaviour is counterproductive for our goal.

Coming to the end, this is how Halo Reach might look in 1080p/60fps, allthough in the clip it is only simulated.

you act like 343 actually cares about its community, if they won’t even fix the MCC, make a H3 anniversary, no way in hell they would bother with Halo Reach. unless its something about their cash grab called halo 5 they don’t care

I know they care for the community. Just because Reach’s current state is almost unplayable, doesn’t mean 343 wants things remain as they are. It is a simple priority question. Our job is to show them, plenty of XB1 owners want a playable Halo Reach on XB1, so priorities change.

By doing nothing besides complaining we sure won’t get Reach to a playable state, will we?

So, let’s do it.

This is not an official thread. It was not posted by a Monitor or someone actually official. But anyways this is a problem. I think it would be cool to see Halo Reach in 60fps, but that will never happen.

They should do something about it, or just remove it from the BC library. I know that BC titles never play as well as they did before, but Reach is an example of a bad BC title.

A patch would be nice, a port would be even better. It should happen.

It would be nice if it was to happen. Doesn’t seem to be in the pipeline though…

I would never ever thought that a patch would come that fast and fix the fps-issues we were experiencing. My fps barely drop under 28 frames per second. In fact, frame rate tests suggest a better performance then on the 360:

Allthough this might be the wrong place to mention: A big thanks to everyone who actively helped and a huge ‘thank you’ to Microsoft, who really showed, they do care.

I guess I stand corrected. Reach definitely runs even better on the One than it did on the 360. Very happy to see this patch added to the game.

They don’t care about the community yet they have added countless extra’s in Halo 5. Sure, they should go back and fix their old problems but they’re looking at 5 because that’s there current game/money maker. Personally, I’d say 343 are one of the only dev’s that actually listen to fan’s. And before anyone jump’s on and whines about a H3/Reach remaster. I think it take’s a little more than “Hey, shall we remaster that game?”

Saying that, I think I’d cry if they brought out a HD Reach with that multiplayer.
343 pls.
