the sad Truth..

so i saw someone post this on another thread and just thought they were so spot on i had to make another thread so that everyone could see what 343 is really up to and how they pretty much just ingore the community in hopes of snatching more money from us

“The fact that there are a lot of things not working properly with the game e.g theatre, sandbox balancing, file share searching and now this(no spec codes for people). And its been over a month since the games release and they chose to focus their attention on DLC to grab more money rather than address these awful issues in a decent amount of time.”

The sad truth is we will continue to buy the DLC packs hoping for fixes in the future.

Maybe if the game worked there wouldn’t be so many…

The sad truth is that almost every developer does this these days.

Ridiculous post is ridiculous.

This map pack was announced before the launch of the game. Content complete. They didn’t need to “focus” any attention to it. They just release it…that’s it. It’s only been a month, if by the end of this month, changes don’t start coming, then people can complain.

If you would have listen to a interview with Franklin, you would know that they plan a update every week to fix problems next to the new DLCs. There was a update already you remember? There will be more. They have a update being out soon to fix Complex and Flood wall glitchs. Why you keep complaining? They are working on it.

The sad truth is 343 has lackeys in this forum to defend them.

Maybe if EVERY (yes I said EVERY) developer out there had the morality and decency to produce a complete game, we wouldn’t have to deal with any of this… complaints, bugs, etc…

Its not just 343 doing this…

Battlefield 3 took how long before it was even considered fixed?
A year, yes that’s right. It took DICE and EA a whole year to fix that game. It got boring before they even managed to patch it.

The game is 1 month old, stop complaining. They said a TU is coming soon.

May I point something out? Certain Affinity made the map packs. Not 343. Goodness.

If the game was any good, there would be far less.

And you think 1 TU will fix everything? If you have learned anything from Battlefield, is that every patch will fix some small things, but overall it will take at least a year for developers to fully fix it (and btw, BF3 is still not fixed).

all that doesn’t make it right when people pay $60-$100 for the game. It should work straight out of the box day 1.

The sad truth is that people can’t seem to grasp that more than 4 people work at 343.

How can someone seriously think that the entirety of 343’s staff is working on DLC maps? 343’s staff isn’t even working on the maps, Certain Affinity is! Sure there might be a group of 343 peeps working with them, but still.

Bug fixing and coding takes a while. Chill out. In previous games, we wouldn’t get a title update for months and we had to sit by as Bungie toyed with us. They wouldn’t tell us what we were up to, they would just say, “Stay tuned” or that big things are coming “Soon ™.”

They are doing what they can and will let us know when they know. They aren’t the “WORST DEVELOPERS EVER” and Halo 4 isn’t broken. I played it last night, and it works just fine. Some issues? Sure. We all have our own opinions on what we think the game should be, but we aren’t the ones making it. They are.

You want a game to be 100% to your specifications? Go make one then.

It’s annoying how people think that the TU coming out this month will fix anything. If you look at what they are fixing you can tell it will not change much of the gameplay.

This game at the moment needs work. It’s sad that the only things they can fix are glitches that add to the game.

…and rightfully so

False.

First of all, the game IS good but nothing can live up to nostalgia. It doesn’t matter what 343 did, there would be just as many complaint threads. No single Halo game can live up to the one before it. Enjoy what you have, because they didn’t even have to make a new Halo. They could have just said, “Hey thanks for the money!” and rode off into the sunset. Leaving you to play Reach or Halo 3, which would eventually die from lack of innovation.

Love your sig!
Can I adopt that as well?
