This is first my opinion.
But if you are wondering why we are not getting the playlists we want to play.

This is actually Microsofts problem and I believe that because for the first time in a halo games history. 343 out the gates is saying everyone make your voices heard. Like a new director of big movie being pushed in a corner by a studios influence. 343 knew this was b.s… Knew the outrageous prices preying on nostalgia is b.s. And 343 is asking us to use our voice not for 343s benefit but for Microsofts.

The answers we seek can be found in halos matchmaking history. Look at halo 5. Breakout was actually an amazing mode designed to appeal to to CoD crowd and showcased what could be done in the forge. It die on spawn due to the prevalent popularity of modes like slayer.
Flash forward to infinite and you have a free to play model that’s ability to make money hinges on special events that offer mini battlepasses. These passes (at least the initial one) give you the core armor pretty much out the gates so you really dont need to grind much to start being unsold overpriced cosmetics in the store. Events that wouldnt have been as populated had slayer or infection been in play. Meaning fewer people have the core to be unsold on
Could they have designed this system to accommodate the playlists we love. Of course they could have but not only have they never designed a f2p game like this. The company culture is entrenched in innovation (not a bad thing) that dates back to the bungie split. Making the trends that work in other games official unhalo on spawn. Now we are stuck with a game that’s coded one way and dispite all our wishes and desires. Cant just be fixed with a push of a few buttons. Big changes cause problems in other areas and this game is already glitchy and has a problem with the absolute worst kinds of bug. The kinds that crash the game. Do I think it will be reworked and fixed? I believe so. Soon? Naw I’m pretty sure theyve estimated the time to fix everything tied to progression which includes playlists. To be summer on par with the push back of season 2.
