I’ll try to find the tweet for you.
And you may be right, but until that point such a statement is purely an assumption.
You seem to be mistaking my point of “the game isn’t in retail release” for “343i will fix everything”, and the two things aren’t remotely the same.
It actually wasn’t a tweet, but the blog post.
“While you may experience some bumps and bugs during this beta period, it does mark the official start of Halo Infinite Season 1, with all day-one maps and modes enabled as well as the full Season 1 Battle Pass .”
It’s in the " WELCOME TO THE HALO INFINITE MP BETA" blog post.
Yes, they are calling it a beta, but no, it is the full day one content.
Agreed. The core of this game is decent, but the sum of its parts (or rather, how they’re put together) are an absolute dumpster fire.
I’ve been playing Halo for 20 years, and I think Infinite is an incredibly average game wrapped in AAA polish.
The game at its core is fun, they just have a lot they need to work on not only content-wise, but resolving oversights ( such as a crossplay toggle ) as well.
I’ve already started playing other games and this is my all time favorite franchise…that should say alot. I know many who feel the same way.
“Maps and modes”
While it’s sad to hear that these are the launch maps, “maps and modes” is hardly “this is the complete launch game”, but I take your point.
Again, I’m not saying negative feedback isn’t appropriate or earned here, I’m saying that calling it DOA based on an early release beta, over features that can easily be tuned, is premature. They’re already addressing feedback on challenges, there’s really no reason to assume they aren’t going to address anything else.
Then they should of released it December 8th cos first impressions matter to some people
It is definitely not DOA. But 343 needs to know the faults of the game as it currently stands. I’ve been saying though, at the end of the day at least it’s fun.
Most of your complaints don’t really make sense if you actually compare this to any of the previous games when they launched. Don’t get me wrong, I was certainly hoping for more game modes and maps on launch, but comparing this offering to the MCC is crazy. The MCC has 5 (or 6 if you include ODST) games in it! And all the DLC maps added to those games over their lifespans.
Likewise, complaining about a couple of weapons or vehicles not being strong is standard (and pointless). Every single Halo game has weapons that are better or worse. Halo 3, the best Halo game, in my opinion, had tons of weapons that were pretty much unusable in MP, and no one minds! For something to feel strong, something else will have to feel weak. Otherwise, everything feels average. The sandbox in Infinite actually does a better job of trying to give every weapon a niche compared to previous series entries.
The battlepass/progression seems terrible, I agree. I hate microtransactions. But I don’t understand why so many people seem to only play a game to get “rewarded” with digital rubbish? You should be playing the game because you enjoy playing the game, not for some new helmet that does nothing. And this game is really fun! Play the actual game and don’t worry about all the BP rubbish would be my advice, you might find you have a lot more fun.
All that being said, there are quite a few things missing from Infinite currently. No stats on Waypoint or in-game? I can only see them through third-party websites. More playlists and maps would also be great. But the game’s core is great, most fun I’ve had since Halo 3. It’s very different but I’m getting used to it.
It blows my mind that I played H3 more than any game ever and now i cringe every time i start a halo up. I’ve waited 11 years now since H3 was done for a good halo. Infinite to me is ok at best. I was a hardcore MLG playlist player. So the lack of Battle rifles in this game is very disappointing. You dont spawn with them and they are so hard to find. There are just so many things that I wanted this game to have from the H1, H2, H3 era and it just doesnt satisfy for me. I haven’t got to play one slayer game yet. idk man H3 still is the best halo, to me if i wanna play halo id rather play MCC because at least i know i can play what i want in there. I dont get how 343 sees on here, and mcc H3 is what the players want. infinite should have damn near been an updated modern h3, and it isnt.
Haven’t said it’s not fun. And no, for me halo 4 even had more content at launch for someone that plays btb alot. The fact i que for multiple games to receive the same map is lacking sadly. And my complaint about the weapons is they were better in the flights and now are pointless, don’t understand the reason to decrease the use of certain weapons when in all honesty there’s not too many right now. I have fun but in this generation people will sadly fall off this game where there are games out there, not just the mcc that fulfil multiple things missing or done poorly in this game. Do some looking on Twitter, youtube, even here and you will find many reasons why customisation and progression is so important for a halo game.
. Content creation is a huge one
. Player expression
. The feeling of progressing in the actual game.
It’s not halo 3 days anymore and yes half the stuff there in mcc now were dlcs, but that now today is a complete experience that you can play right now. 6 years for the lack of content when cod can pull 20 maps in a year is indefensible.
The game is fun i have fun playing but for how long that will be I don’t know. I just know I’m not going to be here in another 6 years when something else has arrived with more content.
Ranked is only BR starts, what are you talking about? That’s literally the MLG mode you want.
What games are you talking about that offer more content though?! BF2042 is a broken mess, Apex took over a year to release a second map, COD just reskinned warzone and pretended it was a new map and the regular COD games are poorly balanced money grabs. If you prefer MCC, then play MCC, it’s great! But it’s not a fair comparison with infinite.
Nah I don’t touch those games. Mate I’ve stated how i feel, some others feel the same. I’m glad you enjoy infinite alot. I’m not on the internet to argue I’ve said my piece. Things should be criticised and if people don’t speak now people are going to fall off maybe not you and that’s fine.
I agree on the Ravager being useless. I’ve tried to use it many times to end up being disappointed. If the AoE damage was increased, it might actually be useful.
Same goes for the Hydra, feels useless to me. I have yet to get a single kill with it.
Absolutely spot on, couldn’t of said it better myself.
