That’s because Halo Finite itself is an overhyped disaster. 6 years of development (4 of which were spent making the engine), and a $500M budget, all for a game that is in every way abysmal? LOL! The fact that it is F2P and on PC should have been a massive RED FLAG that the game was going to suck anyway.
SoAnnoying also really brings up a good point. F2P + PC = rampant cheating, especially when you can’t even disable crossplay.

since halo 5 has no cheater problem what halo infinte has.
and halo 5 has a good multiplayer without any big problems what halo infinite has.
halo 5 has no crossplay system at all so no problems you get with it what halo infinite has and also has no option to turn it off.
halo 5 has showing more that Pay to Play is much better for the halo game’s since you get better contant and less big problems.
then we see in halo infinite with F2P.
and also halo 5 has since launch a 3th playlist Warzone what is also doing good since its a big slayer playlist more.
and halo infinite has no 3th playlist at all.
if halo infinite was full Pay To Play and has no crossplay system at all then who knows it was doing much better then now.

Halo Infinite should never have released Free to Play, it just gives the Devs all the excuse they need to cut staple things and features in the franchise and sell it back to us Piece meal, which is a Practice that i detest.
yet some people argue by saying that “But you Save money now by it being Free to play”
ya say that to me when the armor look i wanted since launch to make my Spartan look Less Generic all together comes out to $70 Dollars? ya totally saving money there bucko’s, meanwhile in older halo games i can pay the $60 of old, Or $70 now and have ALL armor plus the game for that price tag,
its absurd, Free to Play Can ONLY work without community backlash if everything can be unlocked by Playing the game in some fashion, when was the last time you heard Warframe players complain about their game being Free to play? Or World of War Series? (World of Tanks, World of Warships) Even the Recently Released 3 month old, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel?. which im playing right now funny enough because of the event
never since they can unlock everything in game by playing. it is a grind sure, but Spending money is simply a fast track in those games, it isnt the ONLY Way of getting something.
Developers and publishers need to accept, if their going to go free to Play they need to go all out and be Willing to let players unlock everything for free if they work towards it, if not then they need to go the full retail price.
and not forget about the risk’s you get from it when there make game’s F2P.
and for game’s like Cod,Halo or Battlefield are the risk’s only more higher when its becoming F2P.
and its not only the fault off the F2P formule.
its more a combo with a lot off other things also that has make it more worse.
we have a Crossplay system that give’s a lot off risk’s also with it.
and then there release it also on the PC platform to make things more worse.
we have now more the worst combo this game really not needs at all.
PC platform + Crossplay + F2P + Xbox = the worst combo for the halo serie’s.
if it was PC platform + Crossplay + Xbox = not bad at all since most off the problems you not get.
same if it was Xbox + F2P = then it was also not that worse at all.
but all 4 at the same time is the not going end good for the game more since you get a lot off problems.

Pay attention to these forums. There are plenty of players that like Halo 5. Is it the greatest game of all time, no. Is it better than Infinite, currently yes.
I like Halo 5.

if you try it for you self with 1 letter and press on the replay button you see what he means since you most enter 20 characters to post something on the forum.
its more a commen thing on all the forums when players replay with less then 20 characters on something there add always that on there text also.

Just because its free doesnt make people want to play the game per se. That is a false assumption unless actually the studio deliveres of such high value that people spend their free-time on this.

Nope. The root problem is that the same management that brought us H4, MCC and H5 is still in place. Terrible release states that took years to get to a playable state.
H5 is universally considered the best Halo MP in the franchise
The game being a paid box model would change nothing, it would still be in the state it is in now.
If it had been delayed for another year, we would’ve gotten a Halo game that blew other FPS AAA titles out of the water
