Am I the only one constantly seeing this happen? A guy camps with rockets and I’m right beside him at melee distance. The guy shoots the ground and kills me but not himself? How noob proof are rockets? I don’t mind getting killed as I know it’s probably going to happen but if someone shoots at their own feet without jumping they should die. This issue is very apparent in Dominion. I don’t know if I’m just getting unfortunate but I have yet to see someone suicide with rockets while they camp bases. Situations which they definitely should die in. Some of you may be saying shut up and stop complaining. You can just not comment ok?
I’ve got screwed out of holding a base down because of this. The enemy crouches in with rockets and I’m kinda aware and I’m just baiting him in so he can kill himself and we both die rather than just me dying. IMO it’s a good tactic. Apparently in Halo 4 you can’t suicide off of the ground with rockets so the horrible rocket player wins the fight and captures the base when we both should have died.
The Rocket Launcher in Halo 4 is obviously the most noob proof shotgun in the game.
This happens in every Halo game, especially 3. I used to get so angry when I be right in the the guy’s face and he’d survive firing a rocket right then and there!!

If you shot rockets at your own feet in Halo CE, Halo 2 or Halo 3 you were going to die at least most of the time. I have yet to see anyone suicide off of the ground/floor in Halo 4. It’s like the rocket is also a shotgun. I get so po’d every single time people do this and don’t suicide. If you shoot your feet to kill someone that is melee’n you… death should be secured for both players. I’ve lost games of Dominion because of this.
When you jump and shoot rockets you should survive but the players I’ve come across that use it as a last second oh crap shoot ground tactic never die. Even when they have no shields.
> Use Pro Vision before you enter a base in Dominion to find out where the campers are.
If they have half a brain they will see where the PV hit them from. Then I have to sneak crouch around the base. By the time I get to them I will either die from someone else or they will rocket the ground to kill me and only me. I was also referring to me camping the base and them coming in with rockets. It’s the best when they miss with the first rocket and I rush them to ensure with both die and then they just shoot the ground and get just me.
Rockets aren’t even OP IMO. They just have noob protection on so you can’t kill yourself when you should. If me and the guy that shot rockets are both full shields and the same distance from the rocket explosion we should both die. This in Halo 4 from my experience is never the case.
