First and foremost, the worst part of this is that there’s nothing really going on in the game until November 8th except for Drop Pod updates that address quality of life issues. These will be continuing as a monthly update that will improve the quality of the game in many areas. The head of live service outlines those areas in the 30 min video. skip 5 minutes ahead to see this segment begin. I recommend you listen to the whole thing, it’s a conversation and doesn’t necessarily need to be watched.
Now let’s get started with the positives. Season 3 doesn’t start until March 7th. This gives the team the time that they need to get out of development hell, There’s a lot going on in this winter update and there’s a lot of progress being made on projects large and small. The winter update in Nov will jumpstart the game with campaign co op, forge beta, new maps, a free for everyone battle pass, and a match xp progression system that will give you a career rank and help you level up the battle pass.
Then there will be in game events in DEC and JAN accompanied by Quality of life updates.
By March the foundation of the game will be there and it will be stable. From season 3 onward we should have little issues to complain about and more excitement over new events,maps and game modes being added.
