it’s what happened in halo 2 people wouldn’t shut up now its a ghost town
I don’t blame most of them, Xbox live has one of the most hostile gaming communities out there.
seriously, as soon as you open your mouth your a target for everybody’s daily frustrations.
I used the microphone once. Got a week long ban as a result (still not really sure why).
Lesson learned.
im a random quite often and have been known to rage but i dont think ive ever been mute banned.

Yup, and you better pray you aren’t female and try to talk. When I played Mw2, I saw way too many girls jump into a room, say one word and the harassment started. Xbox live is full of internet thugs who think talking -Yoink- on the internet is cool. I’ve been in many BF3 games where I hop into a squad and calling a guy or a tank out only to have someone reply “shut the -Yoink- up, nobody cares”.
Seriously?
Is that why no one talks? Wow, 343 you have done nothing but frustrate me lately. I just received a mute ban for a week. It doesn’t matter to me, because I can talk with people in parties but still.
It’s and M-rated game, if you can’t get over foul language then you aren’t mature enough to play it. That’s life, no matter how derogatory a statement, one should expect to face some complications. I know there are kids playing, but there’s a reason for the “Underground” zone.
Arguably, 343 shouldn’t stop banning, but treat it more delicately, because I witness people throw around words so often and never get caught. It just doesn’t matter, not when society almosts accepts it now. You can’t try to water down the system and expect gamers to say “Thanks, man for killing me. I’d appreciate it if you T-bagged me too.”
Nonetheless, it’s still a good game.
