I personally loved this in Halo 2. I hope it returns in Reach. I don’t care if some people find it annoying. It was fun sounding like Jigsaw.
Voice masking full parties everywhere… All that voice masking would do would cause more people to party chat. What they need to do is not allow party chat in ranked. I would enjoy autotune though… kidding of course.

lol i love voice masking i asked for it back in halo reach when it was being developed. i had so many good memories of just sitting around in lobby messing around having fun not caring and just getting great laughs out of it with my friends. that kind of fun humor has really died off because peopel want Halo to be taken too seriously. BAN THIS! BAN THAT! FORCE PEOPLE TO PLAY IT LIKE THIS! HOLD THE WEAPON LIKE THAT! FORCE PEOPLE TO CARE ABOUT K/D! MAKE EVERYONE HAVE NO LIFE LIKE ME AND TAKE EVERYTHING SERIOUSLY!

Although I think if your gamertag is below 16 then your voice should be auto masked already, hence cutting out the abuse and high pitch squeals.

no way i loved using the voice masking to make squeakers shut up it was so much fun “hey boy you got a pretty chin” “Is that you John Wayne?”
If someone is afraid to show their real voice and hide behind Jigsaw I see no reason for them to be playing online.

wow im not afraid to show my real voice but i loved messign around with it with my friends in lobbies. it was funny to do to people i didnt mind if they muted me. we got laughs out of it and it made it memorible “wanna play a game” lol good time good time
They could simply add in an option where you could turn off voice masking so that when you hear people they sound normal even if they’re using voice masking (for people that are against it).

You can say that but I say that anyone using it is afraid to show their voices.

How do you know mute ban is going to return. the mute ban is broken its not coming back.

The mute ban is Microsoft’s deal. Not 343’s, anything Microsoft enforces on THEIR console 343 has to abide by them.
I may be wrong but I thought that voice masking was a feature of the original Xbox!? Could have sworn I was able to put a daft voice on for any online game. I’m a little past that now though being a ripe old 26 lol but wouldn’t have an issue with it I guess if it was implemented in Halo 4.

Dude, you want voice masking, go get a lap top, a abotor that’ll let you plug a computer mic into the Xbox mic plug, and some voice changing soft ware.

LOL, doesn’t matter, better way to go about with a voice masker, plus you have more options.
Voice masking would bring people out of party chat, and have some fun too.

Not really, the ones who don’t like listening to 8 year olds might come out of party chat, but those of us who hate listening to racist and sexist slander, will stay in there.
