Okay so, we were told by someone (Kiki or frank) that the spartans from glasslands won’t be in halo 4. I cant provide a source but I can guarantee that this source exists, i just can’t remember which video it was in.
This doesn’t rule out the possibility of other well known characters finding their way to the infinity.
Jun survived, we know this, and i figure that he survived for a reason. Bungie wouldnt allow jun to survive their last game if nothing was planned for him in the future.
Gray team survived (Halo: The Cole Protocol) and as we see in this teaser trailer at 0:25 there are three cryo-chambers. Notice that attention of the viewers is deliberately directed towards these three specific chambers, giving them some importance. gray team are candidates for this. (i know this is a teaser for forward unto dawn, there’s no proof that they won’t feature in FUD either)
We know that the spartans on board the spirit of fire are alive, and we were told in an interview that the story of the spirit of fire will not be featured in halo 4 (yet again i cant find the source but it does exist)
We also know that ODST veterans are candidates of the Spartan IV program, meaning there is a chance that buck and the ODST’s from halo 3: ODST are a possibility.

Well, there’s speculation that he might return. It’s always a possibility, but I doubt it, too.

I’d probably be okay with Jun coming back…but at the same time I figure he’d be just as good being relegated to Reach and not come back.

Yes he is… All we know is that he went floating… The possibility of him surviving are slim. He could have stumble upon a covenant dropship thinking he’s dead, but that would be unlikely. @phoenix, I am also knowledgable. He has a tendency to go up against Karren a lot.
And discusions could easily turn to Glasslands talk if not stopped properly.

Well she has a habit of killing beloved characters in her novels and in games she’s written for, ie Gears of War 3. So I honestly don’t feel secure about Blue Team’s safety. That’s it really.

I really don’t want to see other Spartans in the main campaign. Master Chief should be solo. And Buck’s squad should stay ODST’s.

Page 103 of the halo essential visual guide has Jorge. Date of birth, march 5 2512 and the date of death, August 14 2552z
The next page has Jun. it has the date of north, February 28 2524 but no date of death.
Additionally, in one of the paragraphs it says. Though he was successful in his mission, Jun’s ultimate fate remains a mystery.

jun is not confirmed dead, you are jumping to conclusions without evidence to support it. If bungie wanted jun to be dead they would have killed him, the fact that he isn’t confirmed MIA means something, surely?
I’d love Jun to come back as well as Douglas Alice and Jerome (was it Jerome or something else)from the crew of the spirit of fire.
As far as I know Jun is alive or at least his death was never confirmed…but if you want to get technical Noble 6 has no date of death either…soooo let’s just hope Karren has nothing to do with these characters or halo 4 as a whole…
Karen Traviss has the tendency to make unexpected turns, yes, but I think she’s getting a lot of stick for it. The greatest authors kill off characters out of the blue, and she does this well. although i loved kurt and hated his death.
