The return of the glorious Elites and Brutes!

Who is excited to finally be able to fight the most badass elites and brutes in the series … IN HD?!

I know I am! Everything about the H2 Elites was badass, whether it was the armour design, hunch back stance, shield indicators on their legs and arms(please keep these in the design!), grenade throws, battle cry where they pull out an energy sword, or just the way they fought and moved.

The only thing I am concerned about is how 343 may choose to design them. I know the H4 elite model in the B-roll was a placeholder (at least I think and hope it is), but 343 please make an Elite model that is true to the Halo 2 ones, and don’t give different armour designs to the ranks either!

Not to mention the return of challenging brutes. You know, ones that were actually terrifying, and scared the crap out of you when they started to berserk? The ones that looked like what a Brute SHOULD look like (primitive and hairy). I hope the design 343 chooses for the new models is also true to H2, because the design of both the H3 and Reach brutes sucked.

Who else is pumped?!

Oh yeah, having the Elites return was amazing and I’m glade to see them back.

I am just hoping the graphics for them are the same as the cutscenes cause they have to be otherwise they’ll look like crap. 343 should stick to that rule. Brutes and Elites should remain the same as the cutscenes they were the same in H2, they should remain that way for H2A. I hope they do this right and listen to us we want the Master Chief Collection to be the best for all Halo fans not to mention 343 has to make fans happy. They can’t screw it up. So far I’m loving the cutscenes and their design. 343 should keep those in the game. I would defiantly wear that Sangheili armor.

So far I am pretty happy about what I am seeing with the designs of the elites as well as the grunts.

The Grunts didn’t surprise me I’m just glad they took the helmets off on the models from Reach. Ultra, Heavy and Major Grunts all had helmets I’m glad 343 is taking them off they look better without them. As for the Elites I’m worrying about that. Seeing that picture looks good but I wish we got a better look with the guy not shooting at him. So far I’m liking the model on the Multiplayer than the Campaign after they were shown at E3 last month.

I’ve noticed a glitch in the picture you posted about the Elite. If you look closely at the ammo meter at the top right hand corner, you will notices that it is decreasing however, it is the SMG on the left that is firing at the Elite and the ammo meter on the left is still completely full.

To me, it looks whoever was firing on the elite had switched to the left gun and literally just started firing with it. Probably not registering yet in the ammo count.

Plus it’s an early build so I would expect glitches such as these occurring.

Of this, I’m of two minds. Everything about Halo 4’s Elites should be left in the Storm, and H2A needs to stay far away from those designs. That said, I would say CEA got it right when they decided to seperate rank with color and armor, and frankly, I would prefer they did it again. I think this really conveys the epicness that is Supreme Commander Thel 'Vadamee.

As for Brutes… aside from the lack of fur, I really think Reach got Brutes right. Put a lot more fur on them, get rid of the Captain flags, maybe give their armor more of a black/red/orange color scheme, and I think you 'd have some good-looking Brutes.

I have no idea why it is so hard to find the close up pic of the elite that is out there but basically you take the Halo 2 or Reach minor elite blue armor and remake it to fit the Halo 4 elite anatomy (complete with gauntlets).

Its hard to get the pictures of the Elites from E3 multiplayer and gameplay. I took the pictures from both and they’re all different. Its hard to tell which model they are going with but 343 should go with the one in mulitplayer or the cutscenes nothing else. They shouldn’t look nothing like from H4 at all. They did great with CEA, I just hope they don’t screw H2 over with different model of the Elites like H4. H4 one sucked bad and I hated those models.
