The return of Nathan Fillion as "Buck"?

So Nathan Fillion’s character in Halo 3: ODST (with a cameo in Reach), Gunnery Sergeant Buck, is described as such; “Truly, were he any better, he’d be a Spartan”.

Well, the Spartan IV candidates are picked from the best of existing special forces branches, including ODSTs, of which Buck is one.

I think they left the ODST part there for a reason. Actually, I know they did.
