The return of DMRs to SWAT

I for one loved SWAT in Reach, and I have grown very fond of the DMR. Anybody else missing it in the SWAT playlist?

I would also like Carbine and light rifle variants. Hell even the AR has increased headshots damage so that might even be fun.

That’d be awesome, i hope 343 adds in search filters when trying to find games as this would make it easier to get into the maps and gm variants you want

Well maybe not all of the nostalgia will come flooding back but I certainly feel that we should at least have the option of having DMR SWAT

they should throw it into the current swat matches along with BR and Swatnums. Just so swatnums isnt so common.

Halo 5 SWAT is too broken. DMR would be useless on these small maps. More importantly, it’s the spawn trap system that makes SWAT unplayable.

If 343 knew how to design maps for SWAT then the easy fix is to go back to having loadouts:

  • DMR/BR for large maps
  • BR/Magnums for small maps

Agreed, Reach SWAT was the best. It started sliding in Halo 4 and now it’s too broken in Halo 5. 343 really sucks at game design when you screw up SWAT.

I reckon get rid of swatums and replace with DMR swat

I can’t agree more. I loved Swat in Reach it was so much fun. I wish they would add the DMR back to the swat playlist and lesson the damn magnums. Why can’t we have a BR or DMR start with magnum as a secondary weapon like it has always been. I love Swat it is all I play, but it has just been such a frustrating experience it makes me sad to see it go to such -Yoink-.

I get sick of using just a BR all the time, and I despise swatnums. The BR is what all people use sense Halo 2, with the exception of Reach of course. I like a wider variety. When playing arena, I use any and all weapons. They are equally as powerful, if you learn how to use them properly.

In my opinion I don’t like the battle rifle. It uses too much ammo in other modes and is way too fast. I love swatnums though great mode. I would like if they added DMRs back into swat.

DMR magnum combo. I hope they add crazy variants like swat potato in the future since we are getting ball gametypes.

I wouldn’t mind having it on rotation but I’d like the BR and Magnum variants to remain.
BR > Magnum> DMR, imo.

i just started getting back into SWAT today and i really enjoyed playing with the magnums and then the BR mode came up and i was surprised that it wasn’t DMRs.
i’d be down if they made a DMR game mode. either way, still one of my fave game modes fo sho
