From the Halo Infinite demo, i would say we ended up with a classic-like movement system. I was expecting something like Halo 5’s Mythic Arena with further tuning, but it seems like they’re cutting thrusters as a default spartan ability. Instead, it seems like they’ve only kept a couple core mechanics from Halos 4 and 5, and left the rest up to the sandbox.
Ultimately, i feel like Halo Infinite’s sprint, slide, and clamber are pointless features that could (and maybe should) be cut, but they don’t seem as extreme as we saw in Halo 5. Maybe not perfect, but it should be fine.
I think it’s fine that Chief is overpowered in campaign, and it seems like things will be more balanced (or at least pickup-based) in matchmaking.

First and foremost I never cried about losing my vehicles i just sprint to the next one lol but you’re the one complaining about sprint when its here to stay as I stated before if you don’t like sprint you don’t have to buy the game bro but to sit and consistently complain about it doesn’t help if you adapted fine they why in the world are you in this thread crying about how sprint breaks the gameplay when it actually doesn’t lol if u don’t like sprint then don’t use it simple as that or play a custom game with like minded people and turn sprint off idk how hard that is to comprehend for u ? have done that on halo 3 to much time’s on 1 mission there on legedary mode it was a nice pain in the -Yoink- walking the way to the next level.
and that was on The Ark mission level.
most after the you can get a brute chopper and brute proweler part is it super anoying to not have sprint if you mass that good up.
if halo 3 got sprint that part off the mission was less anoying if you mess it up good there.

Isnt it an achievement to finish The Ark on Legendary without getting into a vehicle?

There’s also the ability to revert to the last checkpoint or to not mess it up. Legendary is also not the intended difficulty for any Halo game.

And here we have a man who consistently refuses to understand and educate himself on why people don’t like this system. It isn’t a question of adaptation, it’s a question of whether it negatively affects the game. And it does, at least according to our attempts to independently verify the information. We don’t have the option to just not use it because the maps in the game are designed around using it. We also want new Halo games that appeal to our tastes and desires because we’ve discovered that they just plain play better.
That last part of your message “u mad bro” confirms you’re just trolling on this thread at this point. I strongly advise you to stop.

because i think this whole thread of people complaining is silly its like how old are u really??? If you don’t like sprint that much either go back to MCC and enjoy those games or move on from halo its really that simple I’ve done that with games before…but coming here complaining hoping someone from 343 reads this thread and change the whole mechanics for people who likes sprint is silly because if there was a thread asking to keep sprint you would be in there trying to counter it. As I said before no one is making u buy infinite so either get with the program or move on

it can also be but if you not go for that achievement and your brute chopper gets killt by a grunt with 2 plasma grenate’s or the other enemy brute chopper there then it was most off the case

If halo infinite wasn’t to my liking i would stick to H5 but fortunately for me I like sprint and clamber because it makes sense instead of crouch jumping im glad you guys aren’t video game programmers because this game would be the same until the end of time

To answer harithavaraj, I do not believe that there is an achievement for not completing the level without a vehicle. You may be thinking of a different level in Halo Reach or Halo 4.
As for this, I think it’s not difficult to avoid getting your vehicle destroyed. Obviously don’t rush enemies that you think have explosives and take it slow. There’s nothing saying you have to speed through the level. Additionally, you can also just… This is gonna sound bad, but “play better”? I mean, I’ve gotten through sections of that level never having my vehicle destroyed ever. It’s gotten close, but it’s entirely possible to go through the entire thing never having lost your vehicle.
Did you ever think the reason sprint is in the game is because there’s a good amount of people like me that want it there obviously that must be it because it was added to Reach and that was Bungies doing

Found it.Haha its called “Who needs them?”. The achievement guide mentions a trick way to do the achievement, but I wonder how long it takes to do this without using any tricks.

I dont care about losing my vehicle I just don’t want to walk through a level at H3 speed because its way to slow and im glad 343 and Bungie addressed that with the newer games

Ah, it’s an MCC achievement, that’s why I didn’t find it. If I were to hazard a guess… A while. That level is designed for vehicles, not having them at all is a problem. Especially with the amount of enemy vehicles that get thrown at the player.

Yeah, which is why the first thing that 343 did when they got handed control of Reach was add a no-sprint, no-bloom playlist. Guess people must have really loved Sprint and 343 was adding that playlist for literally no one. It’s not at all telling that Sprint was a highly contentious design decision that 343 internally fought over before senior management told them to put it in the game.
Listen, I get that you like the mechanic, but we’re trying to have a serious conversation here. If you aren’t willing to constructively contribute, I strongly advise you to stop replying and stop posting.

343i has been pretty upfront why sprint is still in Halo: because they believe that players expect it. But imagine if developers always just did what players expect. They’d just make the same game until the end of time.

Thats fine. I am happy that you enjoy the newer Halo games, as I do myself. I do actually enjoy sprint, I find it meshes better with my idea of what Spartans are capable of.
However, seeing your responses to this thread, I do think you need to tone down the name calling and general unreceptiveness in your posts. Everyone is on the forums because they enjoy Halo, and while obviously some get a little more passionate than others, calling other fans “babies” is not conducive to productive discussion.
In fact when I play MCC I don’t like H3 so I remove it from my playlist I don’t go join a thread complaining about it hoping 343 fixes it and the leading shots or speed nope i just don’t play it very simple fix just like those who don’t like sprint can create a custom game without sprint does that not solve your problem if fact u could have done that with H5 and have your friends join so again whats the problem again?
