Thank you yes I love sprint being a thing. If you donât wanna run just donât click the run button. I enjoy the progression that 4 and 5 made gameplay wise the stories were bad in my opinion and the art style wasnât doing it for me. The graphics were good and I loved chiefs new armour along with his squad but everything else didnât sit.

I hear sprint will be disabled in multiplayer but enabled in the campaign.

Where did you see that ?

Congratulations, very very VERY few doubted sprint and clamber actually would be gone, even in the âanti-sprint cornerâ.

Yeah I get your point
At least I still got the Halos I love.
what a hate after watching only the campaign trailer yesterday.
and we still not know how the multiplayer is gone be.
i think 343 is doing great with the halo series and not focus on skill base only more and make it more friendly where you not need that much skill to play it.
still you need to have good skill to use weapons and vehicles the good way to make a lot off kills thats something that is with all the shooter gameâs.
that a lot off people have think that there going back to the halo 3 dayâs is something there need to forget since all haloâs there have release since halo CE was the best from the time there are release in and also with the mechanics from the timeâs there have for it.
all gameâs that have a long past in there like halo have change hard in the years same for other categoryâs off gameing like some race gameâs have chance also hard since there older dayâs and still doing great.
now there adding in the halo series grapel hook that giveâs some diffrends in the multiplayer when its pick up.
and its a good belance against a lot off vehicles in the multiplayer mode and most off all it can make a big diffrend now in the BTB playlist when there are low on power weapons and need to have also some other way to destroy the enemy vehicles.

I donât care about multiplayer. Never did. All I am interested in was campaign and they botched it.
That being said, I actually expected them to botch it, given their entire track record, so I am not actually disappointed.
I was prepared for a -Yoink!- and thatâs exactly what I got, so I had a beer and just enjoyed the ride.
Ironically, this was the most fun Iâve had with any new Halo content in years, even if it was for the wrong reasons^^

i see no problems with the campaign what there have done.
sure the graficâs on most off the campaign need to become better to look better like there have done in halo 5 campaign that the graficâs there are looking better then in halo infinite campaign so far but thats something we have to see later on when there release it if its become better.
and it was knowing all since last year that the campaign mode will become a open world since the budget there use is the same as other gameâs that have a open world so it was no suprice for a lot off players it will become a open world.

Wow, you summed this up so beautifully. Couldnât have said it better myself

Options how to handle the game if sprint was removed, there were plenty of options, ways, variations suggested.
> 2533274823394867;4244:
> that was also a option giving on the other thread from nerf it then what and there have do it.
Given by whom? Sprint supporters?
I donât recall the speed being an issue, itâs the rest of the mechanic.
Lowering the speed doesnât resolve the other issues.
Well, maybe it now lowers the escapability somewhat, but now youâve got an even more useless mechanic because its not as good of a map traversal tool anymore as it was before.
> 2533274823394867;4244:

> that some are only liking the multiplayer is there option and give no crap about the campaign is there call.

Having different gameplay rules over different modes can be jarring and confusing.
Forza doesnât play like Forza on Single Player and Mario Kart in multiplayer, for a reason.
> 2533274823394867;4244:
> most off the complaints that some people have are: its more looking like cod what is not true
This has literally nothing to do with the balance you spoke of, and I asked about.
âLooking like somethingâ, is not something that even affects the gameplay.
Also, no, go through that thread and youâll find that CoD doesnât come up very often compared to the actual mechanical implications that sprint brings to the table as it has been implemented in the series before.
I have a nagging feeling this is what you choose to retract to when youâve got nothing to say, as I think I remember explaining that exact same thing to you before.
> 2533274823394867;4244:

> Just looking at previous titles and what theyâve offered which is new, outside of player mechanics:-Campaign and story-Weapons and grenades****-Multiplayer maps****-Game types****-Vehicles****-Utility modesThatâs quite a lot of new content outside of even player mechanics. Fine tuning and improvement on player actions is also something done.
>
> So, from Halo 5 I like the thrusters.Moving on to other new things which Iâve contemplated in regards to Halo and a classic experience:
> -Modular Promethean weapons-Alternative fire modes for UNSC weapons****-Secondary attack for covenant weapons****-Rechargable health based on stored biofoam****-Multigravitation coupled with zero-gravity****-Portals like those in the game Portal, used in a few different ways****-Different types of new map transportation utilities****-Wall jumping****-Equipment as a special grenade instead of its own function****-Interactive maps, especially in the multiplayer part**Then we have of course have stuff like ideas on how to improve existing things:
> **-Campaign optional side missions which do not impact the story, but alter paths you can take, or what enemies you encounter in later missions for instance.-Theatre, things like camera paths so you can put in so that you donât have to take fifteen camera takes in order to get the right motion and rotations, or locking the camera on specific objects and so forth.-Firefight: Mombasa like level with a learning AI to counteract player tactics and behaviours over time.-Special side difficulty which use a learning AI, collecting data from all connected players playing on that difficulty, it is reset with suitable intervals.-Multiplayer Sidekick bots, another AI which learn how you play, and can act as you if you drop from a match for whatever reason. Also, bots in general.**And thatâs not even all Iâve gone through over the years, only what I can remember from the top of my head.
I can easily say that Halo Infinite looks like Halo 5.5 and that anyone happy with that, and wants it that way, is stuck in the past.

The gameâs not out yet, sprint speed may be lowered, and itâs allready being called âgood balanceâ.
Back again at âdonât use it if you donât like itâ, yes, letâs handicap ourselvesâŚ

Yeah, if the difference is small, why is it there?

> and still some people are not happy with it since its a mechanic still available in the game that shows more there cant accept something like this
Perhaps when you actually grasp what the issues people have with sprint, hint, not the speed, perhaps you wonât need to repeat yourself time and time again.
> 2533274823394867;4244:
> and that is something what i have told all on the humongous thread: that a good solution for the sprint never will come since its not exists.

So, what youâre saying is, that the solution was always to lower sprint speed? And thatâs something youâve said in the Sprint thread? Mayhap I go take a look when I get the motivation and time to do so.
In the mean time, this is kind of what it is now for you:
Spikanor: Reducing the sprint speed will resolve your issues
Anti-Sprint: Our issue with sprint is not the speed itself, and thatâd hamper the mechanic even more than it is now, making it less enjoyable for pro-sprinters.
Spikanor: Itâs a good solution to decrease sprint speed.
Anti-Sprint: Speed isnât the issue.
Spikanor: It solves the problems.

It literally wasnât known a year ago, all youâve got is speculation that you hindsight confirm as âknownâ because youâve connected some dots in your head to confirm your own belief.
Go back a year and you could not properly, for real, confirm that Halo Infinite would be open world.
Budget doesnât confirm anything.

Hahahah classic Bungie fanboy. This is sad life right there. Open world with no sprint. Is your brain damaged? Wait i got the solution:DONT F USE ITâ:joy:
makes me sic when i read post like this
Obviously, we are going to have sprint in Halo Infinite, with so little time for changes. All we can hope, is itâs disabled in multiplayerâŚ
Back to the theoretical drawing board, what if there was a âholster weaponâ option that would give you a very small increase in movement speed, like 3-5%. Think like PUBG. For intense smaller map gameplay it would be impractical to use and simply unnecessary, but on larger BTB maps where you might find yourself needing to run a long way, it would give you a small boost. This would bring back the feel of Halo that classic fans love, but also retain the function of covering open ground a little faster, while also keeping vehicles relevant (specifically transport vehicles like the mongoose). This would be lore compliant, and a side benefit would be cool new machinima possibilities.
Thoughts?

So some leaks came out a while ago that leaked the Halo Infinite campaign and multiplayer, someone said the leaks for the campaign is dead on but we havenât seen the multiplayer yet to know if that is true as well.
Open question to everyone: Name 3 areas in either Halo 2 or 3, where you were not given the option to use a vehicle, and you genuinely needed to travel faster than base movement speed due to the lack of enemies, or slower dialogue/set pieces for story progression in single player. How many of those areas are a pain to traverse because you didnât take a vehicle out of choice, or because you had your vehicles destroyed/stolen? Please keep in mind, that sometimes you will spawn a little further away from the action than you would like, so you donât get spawn killed, and because the game is trying to keep you from spawn killing other players. This is intentional in most video games.
Now, with those areas in mind, try to imagine yourself going through those areas 10% faster, and not needing to put your weapon down. On top of that, imagine a higher FOV (field of view), which increases our perception of movement. I donât like reposting locally well-known content, but because of the reveal yesterday, there are probably fresh eyes here who have never seen the following content, and do not understand what is actually happening in âclassicâ vs. ânewâ Halo:
Perception of speed is also reliant on the design of the playable space, and your FOV, not just how fast the player moves. When a game is designed properly, a sprint mechanic is not needed. Sprinting is realistic, but realism is irrelevant in any game that isnât trying to be a simulator.
No point in arguing about it now, itâs in the game just have to wait and see how it pans out.
You guys need to chill sprint is great u do realize a lot of people didnât like halo because it was too slow so they moved on to call of duty because it was fasterâŚIâm sorry Halo 3 was fun but after playing it on MCC I realized it was way to slow and people with vehicles always had a advantage and it became my least favorite halo. So if u guys want that the play H3 donât hold back progress from the rest of us
