The Return of Boss Fights

Sesa Refumee.
The Prophet of Regret.
Tartarus.
343 Guilty Spark.

Though some more questionable than others, Halo has a very small yet memorable line-up of boss fights - most of which occurred during Halo 2. While Regret and Guilty Spark were admittedly easy (even on Legendary), Tartarus and Sesa Refumee (ESPECIALLY on Legendary) proved to be entertaining and diverse fights from the rest of the game’s pace.

Well, if the campaign trailer is anything to go by, Halo 5 marks the return of campaign boss fights. The Warden Eternal may very well be fought in a boss-scenario during that or a later level. This, in my opinion, is backed up by the existence of “boss” characters in Warzone. Though Warzone bosses are essentially buffed up NPCs, they show that 343i is taking a “boss” initiative in Halo 5. Paired with the appearance of the powerful-looking Warden Eternal, I think it’s safe to assume campaign boss fights are back!

Didact should have been a boss at the end of Halo 4!

He’d be quite OP. How would you have that done?

Only boss I really liked was Sesa as he didn’t have crazy amounts of health, while also not having a really contrived invulnerability shield.

Distact him and survive until cortana can tie him down long enough for you to run in, hurt him from upclose, and kick him off the edge.

He’d have curbstomped the Chief, as he was doing every other time they met. There’s a reason it was a QTE: anything else would’ve done Didact a disservice.

We already saw what the result of a Didact on Chief fight would’ve been. Chief would’ve been thrown into the slipspace portal below the two of them. Thanks to Cortana however, the Didact was the one who fell into it.

No offense to chief, but everyone is right Didact is just too advanced for chief to feasibly fight in that kind of confined area. Now a Didact without that super armor would be easy. all in All they try to make sense of the game right?

Didact had telekinesis…
