Though now a distant memory, Halo: Evolutions had a story called The Return. It’s set in 2559 – one year after the events of Halo 5. A Sangheili Shipmaster seems to have stumbled upon a human discovery of an unknown Forerunner Monitor.
“…in one picture he saw part of a rounded frame and smooth glass lens that looked exactly like the Forerunner Oracle they had kept in their former capital city High Charity before it was destroyed by the recklessness of the Prophet of Truth.” - excerpt from the story.
What monitor could this be – Abject Testament, Mendicant Bias, Offensive Bias?
WHOA. Good memory, lol! I haven’t read any of the Forerunner trilogy in awhile (or the Return, for that matter), so I’m pretty checked out of speculation on that front for the moment. Certainly curious what other people have to say, though. Totally forgot that that story has a 100% different context now…
Interesting, also don’t forget that 2559 is the year that Atriox arrives on Installation 00, which could offer some insight into why the Sangheili and Jiralhanae are still at war.
Don’t know OP, I just wish that Shipmaster will appear (I wanted to write return :D) in Halo 6. I really liked that short motion comic and I think there’s a lot potencial in that Shipmaster.
Imagine if he would be the one who would save Spirit of Fire from Atriox in Halo Wars 2 or at least help them to survive against Atriox.
You know…actually there’s a little hope that this would happen. The Elites who had been killed by Atriox (in the latest trailer) were also from the Elites from Halo Evolution - Headhunters.

If it is a known monitor, I’m thinking more abject testament
