The Req Sytem is garbage

I feel alone on this but it needs to be said. The Req Sytem is ruining the game because after games I want to be garenteed with a set of armour if I reach a certain level. I don’t want a Req pack that gives me suppressors and mongooses. Like seriously and no joke this actually happened, my friend opened her first Req pack and got Hell Jumper armour! I’ve been going at that for 36 levels and she gets it on her first?!? Thats rewarding?!?!? Not to mention if you want to match with your friends and you’re all the same level, you all probably don’t have the same set as they do. I feel like I’m putting in for a lottery ticket after all the hard work I did last match. I want a sense of achievement after I get to a higher level not a pack full of disappointment. And yes I buy gold Req packs all the time. I don’t feel like I’m working towards anything with this system. On Reach if you wanted a certain armour, you had to work for it and getting it felt great. Now it’s completely random and it sucks. No I’m not whining, It just takes out the feeling of achievement.

Your not alone,a good amount of fans feel the same way. The randomness of the REQ system is a problem, especially when it comes to Armor and the DMR. I’m a high rank and still have not received the damn thing.

I absolutely, 150% agree with you, the REQ system is SUCH a HUGE waste of player time.

REACH had pretty much EVERYTHING RIGHT!

  • The Lobby was THE BEST of all the games
  • The Armour customization was THE BEST of all the games
  • The multiplayer was THE BEST of all the games
  • The armor colors was THE BEST of all the games
  • The campaign was (arguably) THE BEST of all the games

Ya know what REALLY SUX total -Yoink- with the whole REQ system…WASTING SO MUCH TIME maintaining it. First you get the points, then you use them to buy pacs, then you get a ton of --Yoink-- you could care less about, then you have to sell all the --Yoink-- you could care less about, then you start over. And it takes time to go through all that worthless --Yoink-- in the first place. Such a COMPLETE WASTE of time!

And for what?

Some RANDOM armor with some childish graphics you could care less about?

The REQ system is a joke and a CASH GRAB for 343i.

PLEASE DITCH this TIME WASTING Pay-To-Win system…PLEAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZE

100% agree, armour should be earnable along with skins and assassinations. The req system should be strictly warzone related.

That right there is a GREAT compromising solution!!!

Make REQ for Warzone ONLY! I’m not a fan of War Zone too, so better yet!

If you think Reach multiplayer was the best…You…I dunno. SO many people hated AAs. And Reach is what brought them.

Reach was annoying. I miss being able to unlock armor for doing something. But I wont hate the game because of it

I wouldn’t have minded if they ironically stole destiny’s system of drops. They should have brought back firefight as well and used that as a way to earn legendary drops also. The system right now is pretty garbage and the micro transactions are disrespectful. Halo Reach did a better job at having you earn in game currency and using it to get unlocks. They need to do an overhaul of the system. So we should keep complaining because we could be playing this game for a long time and still not have half of the unlocks.

> REACH had pretty much EVERYTHING RIGHT!
> - The multiplayer was THE BEST of all the games

I can’t disagree more. It might have been for people who started in Reach, but I’ve been trying to defend it for quite a long time before I realized how bad it was. Even in the beta, at one point I felt that I was forcing myself to play it after just about a week. Reach was the reason I’ve dropped hardcore gaming and only bought XBO to see if H5 was any better.

This Halo fan speak the Truth about everything what wrong in Halo 5.

On Reach, I could do absolutely nothing and get credits to then buy a piece of armor. For example, go 0-20 in a match and still be rewarded for completing a game. Or exploit the campaign mission that provided a certain medal over and over again and get a bunch of credits. Not that rewarding to me. The Req system has the same concept, but now it includes RNG, to make people play longer to get something they want.

I think the best solution would be a mix of the current system and an unlock system. One of the major issues that I have is that there is no customization unlocks from doing something in the game. You get emblems unlocked, which for me are pointless, because the emblem that I use you have unlocked at the beginning of the game, and I will not change it. There needs to be a balance of items that you get for achievements and req packs. Some people love the slot machine of everything, and that is fine. They should still be able to play that machine. And they need to keep playing it, because it is the funding for the ‘free’ DLC packs that 343i is going to be giving us over the next few months. That being said, if you and a few friends beat the campaign on Legendary, you should be rewarded. If you find all the skulls or the intel, you should be rewarded. Or if you manage to get to level 5 with a DMR or BR, or whatever, you should be rewarded. Leveling up would be a great way to get certifications, instead of just randomly being handed them. If you got a ton of kills with the AR, maybe you unlock a higher level variant AR. Same with all of the starting gear. Maybe kills with the Railgun unlocks a higher level version.

I feel like the system in place is okay. The req system is fun to use in Warzone, but I would like to see my achievements rewarded a little more than giving me a small picture that people only see in the game lobby. Armor customization and certifications that are not random, but something to chase after would be great. Destiny had the same issues just over a year ago, and they are making strides to make the system better. I feel like 343i will be learning the same lesson.

I don’t see how you can be so worked up over an unlock system. In this REQ system and Halo 5’s credit system no matter what you do you’re forced to grind out the game to unlock what you want. it’s not like the armor has any effect on stats or anything. I’d rather have all of the customization armor, assassinations, and weapon skins unlocked at the start. a ‘sense of achievement’ in a video game oughta come from your k/d, not the armor you’re wearing. what ‘sense of achievement’ can you possibly have if you’re wearing a rare Helljumper armor but constantly getting worked by someone in the Recruit armor.

My biggest complaint is having the armor unlocks rolled into the Warzone weapon unlocks. So far, I’ve only played Warzone pretty much exclusively. I personally don’t care about armor unlocks so it drives me up the wall every time I open a Req packs and the 2 permanent unlocks are both armor pieces.

And since we’re on the subject, what the heck is up with the DMR? I’ve unlocked 4 SMG’s, 3 BR’s and another AR, hit level 30, and bought the Warzone DLC thing and still don’t have a single DMR.

Bud maybe you don’t get the definition of Earning. You actually have to be good at the game to get what you want. It’s not handed to you. Plus I never used that stupid -Yoink- glitch anyways.

I really like the req system actually. It’s one of my favorite parts of halo 5

I don’t mind the REQ packs, but the ones you get when you are promoted especially when you’ve hit a milestone level like 10, 20, 30 etc. should be extra special. So you are 100% guaranteed that you will get 1 x Armor, 1 x Helmet, 1 x Emblem, plus 1 x rare item.

Also as the game tracks everything you do, they should award unique REQ packs as you progress. For example when you have done your 10th Assassination, you should get the Bronze Assassination REQ Pack which will include at least 1 x new assassination, 1 x armor and 1 x helmet plus some other stuff for Warzone. Then when you get to 25 assassinations you get the Silver Assassination REQ Pack, then 50 for the Gold Pack, maybe 100 for Onyx. Each one unlocking a more exclusive assassination that cant be unlocked any other way.

They could do this for skins for weapons, X amount of kills with X weapon unlocks a Bronze, Silver, Gold Pack…

Just make it feel like I am progressing in areas and not just gambling my REQ points on stuff I don’t want.

I don’t mind it to a degree but it does hand out a few things a lot more than others and that gets annoying

ok first off i am SR 114 and still havent gotten it and all i have left to unlock is legendary/mythic

so QQ less and grind more

second point
RNG. thats how it works. unless you all want to run MCC together and wear Helioskrill everyone will have to grind the REQ system out until you have everything

so tired of these posts. people need to understand that this is 343i Halo not Bungie Halo

Adapt

REQ or REQ’d
