I personally see the REQ system as a progression system. How I’m doing it is that I got a ton Bronze packs making me get all the commons, currently I’m working on Silver packs, then I’m gonna go for gold. I think this is the best way to do it. What do you guys think?
I think it’s a lazy cop out by the devs to rely on RNG for us to earn anything we actually want or would use.
The REQ system is just a way to cash in on the crate unboxing craze that has been going on in competitive shooters. It’s just gambling with either fake or real money. I can respect the fact that they allowed players to open REQ packs for free, but I don’t like the idea for future halo games to have every unlockable cosmetic piece behind a thin veneer of being free. You can get REQ packs for free, or just buy a few if you have a disposable income. I’d rather not see this in a future Halo game, period.

I think you’re bang on the money by starting with bronze and working up to gold, unfortunately I’ve been weak and splashed out on tonnes of silver and gold in the hopes of getting rare/ultra rare/mythics.
I’ve put about 30 hours into the game AND spent about 50 euros on req packs, still no mythics!
I really need to stop buying req packs with real money

I started on silver but moved to bronze when I decided it was a better method. Now doing the same as above. I highly recommend it IF you are planning to unlock eveything.
