The ReQ system is broken and cannot be fixed.

I think that many people including me feel that the req system is broken. I also think that theres just no way of fixing it either. The biggest problem I feel there is is that the team wins if they get the first shot. What I mean by this is that if one team reaches a higher req level first, then they get more powerful weapons and make it more difficult for the other team to catch up. One way of solving this is to just go for AI kills, but it doesn’t help at all in the Warzone Assault playlist. I mean sure people could shoot the marines and kill em, but what about the defensive team? They can’t kill the marines that are on their side. The req system and I guess warzones basically contradicts itself. One thing or another happens or not. That’s pretty much how it is in Warzone. It makes me wish that Turbo was on all of the time because that’s the only thing I would be playing. Firefight is also sort of problematic because it is simply a hunting comp. If one player reaches a more powerful level, then they would be wrapping up more enemies then the players left behind which kinda sucks.

The only real problem with the req system is they tied pretty much all cosmetics in it instead of leaving some out to be earned. As far as game play it seems it’s to complicated for most to understand. It takes communication and team work for it to be effective and sadly not many want to communicate any more. There is plenty of ways to counter high level reqs but if no one is communicating then it’s pretty tough. If the population was better they could actually match players up by available reqs as they intended but they simply can’t do that every game now… Also even if they did that doesn’t mean the players with said reqs will actually use them. I enjoy warzone firefight, it’s like fiesta except you get to pick what you want to use.

I agree with you. I hope they don’t have the req system and they way you use it in warzone in halo 6. They’ve made a ton of money though so they probably will. Warzone was so much fun in the early months before there were so many reqs on the field. It was like BTB with AI. Now it’s pretty much Super Fiesta, people swapping kills with OP reqs. The best players get access to the best reqs first, and the snowball starts from there. I still play it a bit, but not like I did the first 6 months. I still say if they put everyone on equal req levels throughout the match it would help a lot.

Warzone is meant to shoot the poop and have a fun time with your rewards. There is always going to be a player who feels they have weaker reqs than another play. Earn packs by playing social 4v4’s with balanced gameplay.

Percentage of revenues goes towards sponsoring pro tournament events which keeps Halo 5 relevant. If there was no pro level events, 20% of the player base made up of competitive people who always look to push the envelope with knowledge and team tactics which takes weeks and weeks of practising. Watching people play for 1 million bucks made me see how passionate players can be with this game and because of this, I see Halo 5 in a better light. Its quite enjoyable again,
