The "Renaming" Thread

Just a fun little thread that may prove to be entertaining.

It would appear that 343 is having trouble coming up with compelling names for their new content.

So basically we, the community, are going to rename some stuff for them.

to be honest a lot of the complaints would probably cease with a name change because people have been complaining a lot about them sounding similar to features from other games.

Here are some things I think need to change.

Spartan points: credits
Spartan ops: mission infinity
Wraparound: ( I heard Helios somewhere and liked it)
Warhouse: renegade
Assault carbine: combat rifle
Loadouts: ( idk)

Anyway I think you get the point. As new things are added we can come up with names for them as well if they continue the trend of poor names.

Also, inb4 people try to be clever and make names like

Spartan ops: generic Co op mode

Loadouts: cod rip off

You can make them funny if you want, but throw in some serious ones too.

They need change the name “Battle rifle” to “DMR” and vice versa

Spartan Points = “Credits” or “Assets”

Everything about the infinity mode reminds me of the Freelancer program in RvB. Which reminds me, I need to see if the new season is in production yet.

On topic. Loadouts: Gear. Not the best, but its sound kind of nice. Choose your gear in between spawns.

This sounds good to me.

Spartan Ops is an alright name, though it’d be nice to have something different, though Spartan Points is pretty terrible.

Instead of loadouts they should just call it the armory. And when you start you select from your armory.

Wraparound: Aegis (Pertaining that it’s located on a shield world.)
Warhouse: Assembly (Relative to it’s function.)
Assault Carbine: Reflex Rifle, Carbine.
Loadouts: Gear, Preset(s).

Pretty good. But there is a halo 3 map already named assembly

Spartan Points: Experience
Forunner vision: Awareness Module
Warhouse: Airborne
Wraparound: Helios (Greek god of the sky)

I think everything should be renamed with the word Spartan in it.
Spartanhouse
Spartan knife
Spartan 4
Spartan Rifle
Spartan credits (or space credits I’m fine with that)

If humans are Raclaimers, then let them reclaim what’s theirs.

Or Spartan Ops to “Oni Missions” like I saw somewhere in this forum.

And “Helios” for Wraparound is BRILLIANT
