Just about every match I get into, 2 or 3 people leave and turn the whole game unbalanced, especially in 4 v 4. In halo 4, there was JIP and empty slots were filled up quick. Now its just people leave and screw up the whole game.
Jip sucks but they need to fix the system and heavily penalize quitters

LMFAO The additon of JIP was a masive mistake. 99% of the time you “Join in progress” you will join on a team getting their -Yoink- kicked. Reason for this is the vast majority of players who quit are on losing teams so the openings are basically always on losing teams. And JIP cannot be used in Ranked matchmaking as that would screw your rank up by either placing you on a winning team or placing you on a losing team

Its better than a completely unbalanced game if 1 or 2 leave.
EDIT: and considering how almost every FPS franchise gas JIP, calling it a CoD move is just ignorant, even counter strike has it.

No it’s not.
If 343 adds WORKING ranks then quitting is pratically eliminated. Not many people quit if losing their rank is the result
And there are other ways to punish quitters. Adding a dumb JIP system is the worst way around quitters
JIP = no ranked games. JIP was worse then armor abilities IMO. But I sure do love not having to deal with BOTH!

Honestly I’d rather play a constantly full big team battle. JIP is needed for Halo to survive. Leave the ranked matches to the playlist without JIP. Rather have fun then be unbalanced teams all the time.
Those people probably quit because their teammates suck and/or they’re getting their -Yoinks!- beat by the other team. Why the hell would I want to join a losing game and lose a rank myself because of the inadequacies of another team?
JiP is a horrible feature for any ranked playlist. How about give somebody a reason to stay in game. Better matched teams can help with this.
I say bring back some form of XP system, but not quite like Reach/Halo 4. You don’t get rewarded for losing a match, and you are punished with a loss of XP from quitting. I personally wouldn’t support any form of quit-ban.
Reach proved that you could even ban someone for leaving, and people would still leave.

If you join a team and they lose it’s in part your fault. You were on that team from the beginning and you couldn’t stop them from losing.
If I join a game where I’m already losing by 15 kills, why do I deserve to rank down because somebody going -11 made his teammates quit and I’m forced to clean up the mess? You know what I’d do if I got into a game like that? Quit.
JIP would be fine for un-ranked games, but not ranked.

Way to completely miss my entire point.
I’m going to quit because there’s no point in me watching my teammates derp around and die in a game that was 15 kills down when I first entered. That’s in no way fun, and any rank lost would predominately be due to the system putting me in an unwinnable game and not up to my own skill.
If you want to throw JiP in social BTB I don’t care. There’s just no argument to be made for ranked playlists.

IMO it isn’t even fine for unranked games. If you are beating a team so bad that they quit there is no reason why a new team shoudl join and then you have to beat them too.
And you guys are way overexageratting the quitting problem. Yes right now there are quitters because there are no working ranks so bad players are getting kicked around and quitting. Once the ranks are working and in all playlists then quitting will go down a lot. Back in the halo2 and 3 days Quitting was way less prevalnet than it was in Reach and Halo 4
