The Removal of A Lot of Things will make Halo Halo

I don’t quite understand why some people blame the entirety of Halo loosing its population solely on the addition of sprint. Granted, yes, I do think that sprint has a negative impact on Halo gameplay, but I also think that having a giant amount of range on every weapon, getting killed extremely fast by everything (partly because of range), having what should be obvious noobs kill me no matter what I do because the game’s aiming is too easy…

I could go on forever about all the stupid crap in Halo 5 that makes it “not Halo”, and yet everyone else is so focused on sprint that they can’t see all the other crap in this game.

I have long since lost faith in Halo, and even more lost with 343i and Microsoft, there is LITERALLY no good true competitive FPSs out there anymore, COD sucks now, Halo sucks, the MCC… yeah, and even Battlefield is not really trying to be “competitive”. Maybe one day one stupid developer will have the bright idea “Hey! Let’s make an almost exact replica of the old Halo games and simply add MASS!” Wow, wouldn’t that be a great idea that is obviously so hard to grasp?

Anyways, the moral of the story is that I hate Halo 5, and sprint is just one of the top 20 reasons why.

Your opinion is wrong because I said so.

And for the record, I think Halo 5 is great.

Good, go waste your life playing it

You’re stuck in the past.
If sprint is a reason to hate a game then maybe you should quit gaming now.

No, its the combined 20 or more reason that make this game terrible, if you truly want I can list them on the OP. Also, I don’t see anyone complaining that the new doom game doesn’t have sprint…

Another one of these huh.

If you’re looking for a “SUPER UBER COMPETITIVE FPS” then go play CS:GO. Stay off these forums.

CS:GO is a piece of crap twitch shooter. What now?

Thanks but I think I’ll stay.

@OP I actually prefer faster killtimes. I think the killtimes of modern Halo games are unnecessarilly slow, that they just lead to making it easier for players to disengage from fights, make the game less fun to watch and play, and just force teamshot not as an optional strategy but as a mandatory one.

@Everyone Else
Did you see that? I managed to disagree with someone without telling him to -Yoink- off.

CSGO is a good game but it’s not a Halo game, and I want to play a Halo game.

Yeah, but faster kill times mean that you get killed even faster when getting team shot, and also degrade the amount of skill (and time) it takes to leave the reticule on the target, which means an automatic jump in accuracy, less strafing, and less of an actual gunfight, which in my opinion is what makes Halo, “Halo”.

CSGO is “aim for the head once”, and yeah, that’s fine for CSGO, but you get good at that and your basically done, there is no real “fight”, like Halo.

Missed my point. CS:GO is an incredibly competitive game, and is filled to the brim with intense moments and situations. It is also heavily skill-based; it is NOT a pick-up-and-play like many shooters are now.

When I buy games like Halo and COD, I expect a modest amount of competitive atmosphere, but nowhere near the amount CS has.

We’ve got plenty of topics discussing sprint right now, let’s keep to one of the active ones
