The red X when you die.

Any news on if 343i is finally putting this back in with the TU?

No. One of the devs at neogaf said the red Xs can’t w somehow work together with the instant respawn system.
Which is funny cauz on your radar the game still shows the X’s.

I doubt they will bring it back.

You’d think that would be a sign saying “Hey…maybe we shouldn’t put in a instant re-spawn system”

Red X over Instant Respawn, every time.

Shields should have been the only “hint” required…

Hmm, I like Insta-spawn in obective… I can keep running like a mad-man… but Slayer- yeah I would take the red x… but Slayer is diff, every time you die, you are giving points to the opposing team…

Hes just lying to everyone in hoping to fool them. Programming doesn’t work like that. They left it out for other reasons.

When playing Co-op with Iron on, I have noticed how annoying it can be to get reverted all of a sudden.

The Red X can be helpful in games like Team Snipes. You know, to see when and where your teammate dies.

another thing 343 can’t change? sips coffee

> Red X over Instant Respawn, every time.

Pretty much.

It’s uneeded IMO because

  1. there is an X on your radar when a teammate die
  2. the left side of your screen will tell you who has been killed.
  3. you teammates marker blinks with being hit and disappears when they die.

If you paid attention to the red death X with will have no problems following the 3 points above.

I prefer the big red X over the instant respawns

Wrong. The X on the radar is only if you are within range. That does not help knowing where people are, it only tells you of imminent danger.

The Red X was visible on the HUD no matter the distance so you always knew where your teammate died.
