The Red Sharks and the Blue Manta Rays

Well first I’d like to say that Red team=Pink team and Blue team=baby blue team…and I don’t get why Red team is a Shark symbol and Blue is a Manta Ray…everytime. Perhaps it’s explained in the Karen Traviss books I haven’t read yet. I was really hoping for some solid good colors this time around ala Halo 3/ODST but alas.

Also I found another symbol in the weekly update (as did many) and I am wondering if anybody has tried entering in the ones we have seen so far in the hidden input screen on the Waypoint Xbox app. I have counted 4 so far and unfortunately you can’t type or copy the symbol but I’m going to attempt it today. Also, anybody figure this section out?

I tried typing this into the search bar with and without the initial dots and it takes me to bing first then nowhere without. I’m guessing it’s pretty self explanatory in the name but I can’t get it to work.

Pumped for Halo 4 can’t wait to destroy people with the BR again and the launch party whenever it’s announced for Seattle (hopefully).

That’s the Classified.mp4 thingy

Red team are the Sharks and Blue team are the Stingrays I think. I’m not aware of any canonical reason for it, they probably just want to sound cool.

I would have loved it if the Red team were the Sharks and the Blues were the Jets though…

I really dislike the forced team emblems - I wish they would’ve put more thought into it or just had everyone’s personal emblem next to their gamertag…
At least the teams aren’t called Demon and Fury anymore - that’s one of the worst ideas I’ve seen pass testing in a shooter.

As for the severely desaturated colors I’m just going to have to max out the contrast levels on my TV. The only reasoning I’ve heard behind this was to make the game colorblind-friendly, but in that case why not just have a Colorblind Mode option in the menus? Then the option is there for the somewhat small colorblind community, and the rest of the playerbase doesn’t have to sacrifice color quality. But who knows, maybe these awful pastel colors are just part of 343’s “artistic direction”.
