The Recruiting forum is kind of a swamp

I’ve noticed that the recruitment section of waypoint is a huge mess. It’s a bunch of unanswered threads getting pushed by more new ones.

My other observation is that this is recruitment for lots of things. There’s Spartan company recruitment, campaign, custom games…could we maybe get some sub categories for the recruiting section? It would look like this:

You click on the recruitment forum button, then it would bring you to a page with more specific links like “Custom Game Recruiting” and “Spartan Company Recruiting.”

This would really clean up the mess and help people who really need it so that their threads are not just buried.

Ok just because I’m talking about the recruiting forum doesn’t mean this IS a recruiting forum XD.

I agree.
I actually posted a while ago about the spartan company forum being bogged down with recruitment threads as well. Not much can be done I think except making sure not to revive threads. The only other idea would be to give the recruiting thread its own post limit.

Totally agree.

Feel like Recruiting needs to become a whole separate forum section with distinct areas for:

  • Spartan Company Recruiting Players - Players Looking for Spartan Companies - Playdates (XBL Looking for Groups) - potentially could be split to one for PVE and one for PVP. - Clubs and Communities (non-Spartan Company recruiting) - Custom Games Recruiting - Forgers RecruitingFeel like the Spartan Companies forum as it is needs to be less prominent and used only as a place to discuss ways to improve Spartan Companies

Thanks man… been a while. Manic December-January then was in India for a week start of this month.

And that, of course, is part of why the forums does get the way it is: people drift in and out and it’s only thanks to the dedicated few who curate and tend to it that it stays alive. We love our Monitors and Sec3Ops!

Aye I think it would be best with a A-Z Selection of Existing companys.

I would almost expect a revamp when Waypoint gets that “new coat of paint”, especially in preparation for Infinite. With the success of Spartan Companies in 5, I think a similar feature would return for Infinite, which means a better promoted recruiting section.

At least, that’s one man’s guess.
