Hello
WARNING: Reach spoilers ahead, DO not read if you haven’t play Halo Reach
I just finish re-playing Halo: Reach. On the end, after the final fight as Novel 6 you can see Reach around the year 2589. You can see the planet is recover, all full of flowers.
But the planet was glasses by the Covenant and the reasons i see for the planet to “survive” are the next ones:
-
The Covenant did not glass the entire planet
-
The planets can somehow recuperate there nature after being glassed
-
Humanity Terraforms Reach
Does any one know if it is any of those cases? Is there something I m missing?
Thank you very much.
The Covenant didn’t glass all of Reach because they were going after a “certain” artifact on Reach and didn’t glass that particular area cause it would also destroy said artifact. Read the book “First Strike” for details if you want as it explains the events between Halo CE and 2.

Thank you very much for the respond Yiazmat012, i appreciate it.
I was about to buy the book actually, i just finish Halo: The fall of Reach, and i think “First strike” is the next book to come.
Again, thank you for the clarification.
its a natural recover its like in areas with dormant volcano. long ago they were massive lava spewers. and now they are a big rock covered in wild life

I didn’t think of it in that way, good point.
Thank you.

Actually Halo: The Flood comes between The Fall of Reach and First Strike but The Flood doesnt really connect between them, its basically the novel representation of the game. So its skipable if you want to directly continue the true story of Reach
